The 1998 Big West Conference baseball tournament determined the conference champion for the Big West Conference at the end of the 1998 season. The six teams met at Cal State Fullerton's on campus venue, Titan Field from May 14 through 17. This would be the last Big West Conference postseason championship event, as the tournament was discontinued after the 1998 season. It has not been revived, as of the 2023 season. [2]
The top team from each of the conference's two divisions after the regular season received the top two seeds, while the four teams with the highest conference winning percentage regardless of division were seeded three through six in the double-elimination tournament.

August Edmun "Augie" Garrido Jr. was an American professional baseball player and coach in NCAA Division I college baseball, best known for his stints with the Cal State Fullerton Titans and Texas Longhorns.

The season progressed through the regular season and concluded with the 1995 College World Series. The College World Series, held for the forty ninth time in 1995, consisted of one team from each of eight regional competitions and was held in Omaha, Nebraska, at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium as a double-elimination tournament. Cal State Fullerton claimed the championship for the second time.

The Cal State Fullerton Titans won the title by beating the Cal State Northridge Matadors 2–0 in the final. This was the eighth Big West tournament title for the Cal State Fullerton program and the sixth for head coach Demian Brown.

The Titans, led by head coach Bob Burton, played their home games at the Titan Gym, in Fullerton, California, as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 24–9, 12–4 in Big West play to finish in fourth place. In the championship game of the Big West tournament, they defeated UC Irvine to win the tournament and receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament – the school’s first appearance in 30 years. As the No. 14 seed in the Midwest region, they lost to Wisconsin in the first round.
The 2021 Big West Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big West Conference held on November 4 and 7, 2021. The three-match tournament took place at Anteater Stadium in Irvine, California. The four-team single-elimination tournament consisted of two rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Cal State Fullerton Titans. The Titans won the tournament in 2019 and are classified as the defending champions because there was no tournament held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cal State Fullerton was unable to defend its crown, falling to Cal Poly in the Semifinals. The UC Irvine Anteaters won the title by defeating Cal Poly 1–0 in the final. This was the second Big West tournament title for the UC Irvine program and the first for head coach Scott Juniper. As tournament champions, UC Irvine earned the Big West's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

They finished the season 21–11, 11–4 in Big West play to finish in second place. As the No. 2 seed, they defeated UC Davis, Hawaii, and Long Beach State to be champions of the Big West tournament. They received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 15 seed in the West Region, where they lost in the first round to Duke.
