The 1998 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship (16th edition), is an international basketball tournament held in Fes, Morocco from December 4 to 6, 1998. The tournament was contested by 4 clubs in a round robin system. [1]

Morocco Country in North Africa

Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is a sovereign state located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Gezira (basketball club)

Gezira is a basketball club located on the island of Zamalek in Cairo, Egypt that plays in the Egyptian Basketball Premier League. The club has won nine league titles, and most recently won in 2013–14.

Angola was proposed by FIBA Africa to host the tournament, an offer declined as the country is holding general elections in the same period.

The 2015 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, was an international basketball tournament held in Luanda, Angola from December 10 to 19, 2015. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto was contested by 11 clubs split into 2 groups of six and five, the top four of each group qualifying for the knock-out stage, quarter, semi-finals and final.

The 2017 FIBA Africa Champions Cup was the 32nd edition of the FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Africa. The tournament was held in Radès, Tunisia from 11 to 20 December 2017.

The Campeonato Panamericano de Clubes de Básquetbol was an international professional basketball tournament that was contested from 1993 to 2000, with the exception of 1998, when it was scheduled to be held in the Dominican Republic, and was cancelled due to Hurricane Georges. The team that won the most championships was Franca Basquetebol Clube, with 4 titles.
