The 2002 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup was the 18th FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, an international basketball tournament held in Luanda, Angola from November 30 to December 7, 2002. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by C.D. Primeiro de Agosto, was contested by 7 clubs, in a round robin system.

Ângelo Monteiro dos Santos Victoriano is a former Angolan basketball player. He was listed at 6’5” and 246 pounds.
Miguel Pontes Timóteo Lutonda, 186 cm/´6'1", 78 kg/72 lbs, is a retired Angolan professional basketball point guard.
Nacissela Cristina de Oliveira Maurício is a former Angolan female professional basketball player. A 6'3/1.88m power forward, Maurício plays at club level for Angolan side Primeiro de Agosto. Mauricio was also a member of the Angola women's national basketball team at the FIBA Africa Championship for Women 2007 and FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women 2008. She was part of the Angolan team that participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics. Mauricio has played professionally in Spain and Portugal.
Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto is an Angolan basketball team based in Luanda. The team is part of the multi-sports club with the same name. The club is attached to the Angolan Armed Forces which is its main sponsor. The club's men's and women's basketball teams compete at the local level at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Men's, and Women's domestic leagues as well as at continental level at the annual Africa Basketball League competitions.
The 2012 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, is an international basketball tournament held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, from 29 November to 8 December 2012. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Mongomo, was contested by 12 clubs split into 2 groups of six, the top four of which qualifying for the knock-out stage, quarter-finals, semifinals and final.
Sport Libolo e Benfica or simply Benfica do Libolo, formerly Clube Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo is an Angolan multisports club based in Libolo, Kwanza Sul province. The club's men's basketball team competes at the Angola National Basketball Championship a.k.a. BIC Basket as well as at continental level, at the annual African Basketball Club Champions League competitions. While major local rivals Primeiro de Agosto, Petro de Luanda and Interclube have been competing since the mid 1980s, Libolo basketball, much like its football counterpart even though the club has been founded in the 1940s, has only been established in 2008 and yet, in a very short time, managed to achieve an outstanding performance in the local and African arena.
