The 2000 European Nations Cup (ENC) Fourth Division (a European rugby union competition for national teams) was contested over one year during which all teams (divided in three pools) met each other once. There was no promotion or relegation due the 2003 Rugby World Cup European qualification.

The Rugby League European Championship is a rugby league football tournament for European national teams that was first held in 1935.
The Rugby Europe International Championships is the European Championship for tier 2 and tier 3 rugby union nations.
There were 20 places available for the 2007 Rugby World Cup held in France. The 86 teams taking part in regional qualifying competitions together with the 8 teams which have qualified automatically brings to 94 the total number of teams participating in the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
The Russia national rugby union team, nicknamed Medvedi, represented Russia in men's international rugby union international competitions. The team is administered by the Rugby Union of Russia (RUR). The RUR is considered the official successor union of the Soviet Union by World Rugby and the combined CIS team which played in the early 1990s. Since 1992, the team has played as Russia. Its first test match as Russia was against the Barbarians in Moscow in June 1992 and the country's first test against an official Test nation was against Belgium later that same year.

They are yet to participate in any Rugby World Cup and often play in white with red shorts as well as in red with white shorts.

They are yet to participate in any Rugby World Cup and play in black with a pattern involving the colours red, yellow and green.

They are yet to participate in any Rugby World Cup and often play in all red while their alternative kit is all white.
