The 2000 San Miguel Beermen season was the 26th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
The San Miguel Beermen won their 14th PBA title in the Commissioner's Cup by defeating first-time finalist Sta.Lucia Realtors, four games to one. The Beermen overtakes the famed Crispa Redmanizers as the league's winningest ballclub.
In the Governor's Cup, the San Miguel Beermen claim their 15th crown at the expense of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs, four games to one, as the Beermen retains the two championships they won last year.

The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 28 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. In addition, it has won the Grand Slam in 1989 and the Perpetual Jun Bernardino Trophy after winning three straight PBA Philippine Cups from 2015 to 2017. It is also the only team to have won at least one PBA title in each of the six numerical decades of the league's existence and was the first professional basketball team ever to come back from a 0–3 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series which they did during the 2015–16 Philippine Cup Finals.
Daniel Charles Seigle is a Filipino-American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. He is the former head of basketball operations of the De La Salle Green Archers men's basketball team and a team consultant for the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas of the ASEAN Basketball League. He last played for the TNT KaTropa of the Philippine Basketball Association. He won the 1999 PBA Rookie of the Year and led San Miguel to six championships during his career. He is also a two-time member of the Philippine national basketball team.
A team's Grand Slam in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is winning all three conference championships (tournaments) in a single season, i.e., a treble in the British sports sense. As of 2020, this has been accomplished five times by four teams and four coaches since the league's inception in 1975.
Joseph Enrique "Jong" Floro Uichico is a Filipino professional basketball coach who last coached the Bataan Risers in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. Uichico is a former Philippine national team Youth member and a former player and head coach of the La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP before replacing Ron Jacobs as SMB coach in 1999. Uichico was coach of the San Miguel Beermen from 1999–2006, leading the Beermen to six PBA championships.

Leovino R. Austria is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player. He last served as the head coach of the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Danilo Ildefonso is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He currently serves as an assistant coach for both the Converge FiberXers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the NU Bulldogs of the UAAP. Nicknamed "Danny I", "The Demolition Man" and "Lakáy", Ildefonso was awarded PBA Most Valuable Player in 2000 and 2001, being one of four players to do so in back-to-back seasons. He is also one of the few PBA players to have won all three major MVP awards in the league: regular season, finals, and all-star game MVP. He was picked 1st overall in the 1998 PBA draft and the 2014 PBA Expansion Draft, becoming the only player in the PBA to be drafted first-overall two times and being drafted first-overall in the draft and the expansion draft.
