The 2001 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in the United Kingdom, held from 25 June to 9 July 2001. It was the 115th edition of the Wimbledon Championships, part of the 2001 ATP and WTA Tours, and it was the third Grand Slam tennis event of the year.
Frank Russell Dancevic is a retired Canadian professional tennis player. He first became the country's top singles player, according to ATP rankings, on February 10, 2003, as an 18-year-old, and remained so from January 30, 2006 until June 20, 2010. Dancevic has reached two ATP singles finals, the quarterfinals of the 2007 Montreal Masters and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 65 in September 2007.
Kellen Damico and Nathaniel Schnugg were the defending champions but Schnugg did not compete. Damico partnered with Jonathan Eysseric but lost in the second round to Roman Jebavý and Martin Kližan.
Daniel Alejandro López and Matteo Trevisan were the defending champions but did not compete in the Juniors this year.
Alejandro González and Eduardo Struvay were the defending champions.
Struvay chose to not participate and González teamed up with Eduardo Struvay, but they lost to Alejandro Fabbri and Guido Pella in the first round.
Ricardo Hocevar and André Miele defeated Santiago González and Horacio Zeballos in the final.
Liam Broady and Tom Farquharson were the defending champions but Farquharson was no longer eligible to compete as a Junior. Broady competed with Filip Horanský and lost in the semifinals to George Morgan and Mate Pavić.
Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but lost in the semifinals to Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen.
Eugenie Bouchard and Taylor Townsend were the defending champions, however Bouchard was no longer eligible to compete in junior tennis and thus could not defend her title. Townsend chose not to defend her title, deciding instead to only compete in singles.
Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen were the defending champions, but decided not to play together. Marray played alongside Colin Fleming but lost to Robert Lindstedt and Daniel Nestor in the third round. Nielsen paired with Grigor Dimitrov but they lost to Julien Benneteau and Nenad Zimonjić in the second round.
Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios were the defending champions, but were no longer eligible to compete in junior tennis.
Nicolas Mahut was the defending champion, but did not complete in the Juniors this year.
Luis Horna and Nicolás Massú were the defending champions, but both players turned 18 years old during the season and, therefore, were not eligible to compete in Juniors.
Daniele Bracciali and Jocelyn Robichaud were the defending champions, but both turned 18 years old during the season and, therefore, were unable to compete in Juniors.
Steven Downs and James Greenhalgh defeated Neville Godwin and Gareth Williams in the final, 6–7(6–8), 7–6(7–4), 7–5 to win the boys' doubles tennis title at the 1993 Wimbledon Championships.
Scott Humphries defeated Mark Philippoussis in the final, 7–6(7–5), 3–6, 6–4 to win the boys' singles tennis title at the 1994 Wimbledon Championships.
Ben Ellwood and Mark Philippoussis defeated Vladimír Pláteník and Ricardo Schlachter in the final, 6–2, 6–4 to win the boys' doubles tennis title at the 1994 Wimbledon Championships.
Guillermo Coria and David Nalbandian were the defending champions, but they did not compete in the Juniors this year.
