Gisela Dulko Argentine tennis player

Gisela Dulko is a retired Argentine tennis player. Although she enjoyed modest success in singles, reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 26 and winning four WTA titles, her speciality was doubles, where she achieved the world No. 1 ranking and won 17 WTA titles. Partnering with Flavia Pennetta, Dulko won the 2010 WTA Tour Championships and the 2011 Australian Open. She also reached the mixed-doubles final at the 2011 US Open, with Edward Schwank. During her career, Dulko upset a number of top players on the tour, including Maria Sharapova in the second round of Wimbledon in 2009, Samantha Stosur in the third round of Roland Garros in 2011, and Martina Navratilova in the second round of Wimbledon in 2004 and in Navratilova's final Grand Slam singles match.

Cara Black and Liezel Huber were the defending champions, but did not play together. Black partnered with Rennae Stubbs and Huber partnered with Martina Navratilova but both pairs lost to Yan Zi and Zheng Jie, in the semifinals and quarterfinals respectively.

Yan Zi and Zheng Jie were the defending champions but Zheng did not compete. Yan partnered with Peng Shuai but lost in the quarterfinals to Alicia Molik and Mara Santangelo.

Alisa Kleybanova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova were the defending champions but Kleybanova did not compete in the Juniors this year.

Cara Black and Rennae Stubbs were the defending champions, but did not play together. Stubbs partnered with Lisa Raymond but lost in the first round to Stéphanie Cohen-Aloro and Selima Sfar.

The 2000 Junior Championships, Wimbledon 2000 Tournament, took place between June 29 and July 9, 2000 in Great Britain. María Emilia Salerni defeated Tatiana Perebiynis in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the girls' singles tennis title at the 2000 Wimbledon Championships. Iroda Tulyaganova was the defending champion but did not complete in the Juniors this year.

Ioana Gașpar and Tatiana Perebiynis defeated the defending champions Dája Bedáňová and María Emilia Salerni in the final, 7–6(7-2), 6–3 to win the girls' doubles tennis title at the 2000 Wimbledon Championships.
