The 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group 5 was a UEFA qualifying group for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The group comprised Belarus, Italy, Moldova, Norway, Scotland and Slovenia.

The group was won by Italy, who qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The runners-up Norway entered the UEFA qualification play-offs.

The 2003–04 UEFA Cup was won by Valencia in the final against Marseille. It wrapped up a league and UEFA Cup double for Valencia.

The 1965–66 season of the European Cup Winners' Cup club football tournament was won by Borussia Dortmund in an extra-time final victory over Liverpool at Hampden Park in Glasgow. This season of the Cup Winners' Cup was the first instance of the away goals rule being applied in football history.

The 1995–96 UEFA Cup was the 25th season of Europe's then-tertiary club football tournament organised by UEFA. It was won by German club Bayern Munich on aggregate over Bordeaux of France. Girondins de Bordeaux went to the finals all the way from the 1995 UEFA Intertoto Cup, its first season, being the only Intertoto Cup entrant to reach this far of the UEFA Cup. With this victory, Bayern became the third club to have won all three major European trophies. The finals itself was the only UEFA Cup final during the 1990s to not feature any Italian sides.

The 1994–95 UEFA Cup was won by Parma on aggregate over Juventus. Internazionale were the defending champions with a wild card, but were knocked out in the first round by Aston Villa.

The 1999 UEFA Intertoto Cup finals were won by Montpellier, Juventus, and West Ham United. All three teams advanced to the UEFA Cup.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group 9 was a UEFA qualifying group for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The group comprised the Netherlands, Scotland, Norway, Iceland and Macedonia. This group had one team fewer than the other eight.

The six teams in this group played against each other on a home-and-away basis. The group winner Poland qualified for the 17th FIFA World Cup held in South Korea and Japan. The runner-up Ukraine advanced to the UEFA Play-off and played against Germany. Poland led the group from the start, with six wins and two draws out of eight, with Ukraine in second place: however, with group victory already sewn up, they unexpectedly went down 4–1 to Belarus, which gave the Belarusians a chance of overtaking Ukraine if they won their final match against Wales and Ukraine failed to win in Poland. However, Belarus failed to reproduce the form of their previous match, and lost 1–0 to hand Wales their only victory of the campaign, Ukraine thus finishing second regardless of their result in Poland.

The 2009–10 UEFA Europa League group stage matches took place between 17 September and 17 December 2009.

The qualifying rounds for the 2007–08 UEFA Cup began on 19 July 2007. In total, there were two qualifying rounds which narrowed clubs down to 80 teams in preparation for the first round.

The qualifying rounds for the 2005–06 UEFA Cup began on 14 July 2005. In total, there were two qualifying rounds which narrowed clubs down to 80 teams in preparation for the first round.

The first round of the 2004–05 UEFA Cup began on 13 September 2004, which narrowed clubs down to 40 teams in preparation for the group stage.

The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group H was one of the nine groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals tournament. Group H consisted of six teams: Italy, Croatia, Norway, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, and Malta, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.

The first round of the 2002–03 UEFA Cup was contested between 17 September and 3 October 2002. A total of 96 teams participated in this round, with the 48 winners advancing to the second round.
