The 2006 Home Hardware Masters of Curling was held from November 29 to December 3, 2006 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex in Waterloo, Ontario. The event is not to be confused with the February event that happened in the same year but in the previous season.

Glenn Howard's rink won their first of four straight Masters tournaments, defeating Randy Ferbey's rink in the final with a score of 5–4.

Glenn William Howard is a Canadian curler who is one of the most decorated curlers of all time. He has won four world championships, four Briers and 17 Ontario provincial championships, including a record eight straight, from 2006 to 2013. Through 2017, he has played in 218 games at the Brier, more than any other curler in history. He has also won the 2001 TSN Skins Game.

RIM Park is a 500-acre (2.0 km2) city park facility offering both outdoor and indoor amenities on the northeast side of the city of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, near the Eastbridge neighbourhood. Key facilities and features include the Manulife Financial Sportsplex and Healthy Living Centre, the heritage Elam Martin farmstead, The Benchwarmer sports bar, and the Grey Silo Golf Course. The eastern edge of the park borders on the Grand River for 1.5 km, and the park grounds have about 7 km (4.3 mi) of asphalt trail loops.

Rachel Catherine Homan is a Canadian international curler and the reigning women's world champion in 2024. Homan is a former Canadian junior champion, a four-time Canadian national champion, and two-time World Champion, all as a skip. She was also the skip of the Canadian women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Irene Schori is a retired Swiss curler from Bremgarten. During her career, she won two World Women's Curling Championships in 2014 and 2016 as third for the Binia Feltscher rink. She also won gold at the 2014 European Curling Championships and bronze at the 2010 European Curling Championships. In mixed doubles, she won back-to-back World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in 2008 and 2009 with partner Toni Müller. She was the alternate on the Swiss women's team that placed fourth at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Geoff Walker is a Canadian curler, currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. He currently plays lead for the Brad Gushue rink. He was the Men's World Champion in 2017 and won silver the following year in 2018. A six-time national champion, he won the Brier in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Walker was a two-time World Junior Champion when he won gold in 2006 and 2007.

Paul Moffatt is a Canadian curler. He currently skips his own team out of Waterloo, Ontario. Moffatt played for team John Morris from 2003 to 2006, where he won the 2004 Players' Championship Grand Slam, were runners up at the 2004 Canada Cup of Curling and were bronze medallists at the 2005 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials. He is also the winner of the 2019 Canadian Curling Club Championships.

The 2004 M&M Meat Shops Masters of Curling was held from December 9 to 12, 2004 at the Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. The event was one of the four men's Grand Slams of the 2004–05 curling season.

Travis Mitchell Fanset is a Canadian curler from Tillsonburg, Ontario. A former Canadian junior runner-up, he currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour.
