The 2006 Men's Pacific Handball Cup was held in Sydney, Australia between May 25 and 27, 2006.

The competition participants host Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands and New Caledonia.

Hosts Australia were the winners and undefeated all tournament. New Caledonia in the final were runners up followed by New Zealand and Cook Islands. [1]

OFC Nations Cup association football tournament in Oceania

The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners.

Australia did not enter this tournament because they took the host spot of the Olympic tournament. The tournament was a one-game playoff between Guam and New Zealand, held in Auckland. New Zealand won and qualified for the 2000 Summer Olympics.

The 2014 Women's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy was held at the ASB Sports Centre in Wellington, New Zealand between December 8 and 13, 2014.

The Oceania Youth Handball Championship is an Under 19 for Boys and Under 18 for Girls handball tournament organised by the Oceania Continent Handball Federation. The winners of these competition qualify for the IHF Men's Youth World Championship and IHF Women's Youth World Championship respectively.

The 2006 Oceania Handball Championship took place in Sydney, Australia from 22–24 May. Entered nations were Australia, Cook Islands and the New Zealand. Australia won the right to play in the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship in Germany.

The 2008 Oceania Handball Championship took place in Wellington, New Zealand from 7–10 April. Entered nations were Australia, Cook Islands, New Caledonia and the New Zealand. Although New Caledonia won the tournament, they are ineligible to go to the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship as they are a French colony. Australia won the right to represent Oceania by coming second.

The 2017 Men's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy was held at the Bluesky Sports Arena, Rarotonga, Cook Islands in between 31 July and 6 August 2017.

The 2017 Oceania Athletics Championships were held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, Fiji between June 28 and July 1, 2017. The event was held jointly with the Oceania under 18 and under 20 championships, including exhibition events for masters and for athletes with disabilities (parasports).
