2018 Pacific Handball Cup

The 2018 Pacific Handball Cup is a multi venue Handball tournament featuring countries based on the Pacific Ocean from April to December 2018. This will be the first tournament since 2006 and the first to feature countries from the American continent.

The first leg was carried out in Mexico during April. [1] [2] The other legs will be completed by October with the finals to be held on Hawaii in December.

The championships were abandoned, as the Oceania teams concentrated on the 2018 Oceania Men's Handball Challenge Trophy and both the Australian Women's and New Zealand women's team's playing in the 2018 Asian Women's Handball Championship. The Vanuatu Handball Association was also recovering from the October 2015 earthquake.

The Oceania Continent Handball Federation (OCHF) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of Handball in Oceania. It was founded in 2014 and is affiliated to the International Handball Federation (IHF).

According to the IHF rules, each continent had three places, and the host (Germany) and holders (Spain) were automatically qualified. The other nine places are allocated to the continents according to performance in the 2005 World Men's Handball Championship. Thus:

The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. IHF is responsible for the organisation of handball's major international tournaments, notably the IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1938, and the IHF World Women's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1957.

The 2011 World Women's Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the international championship tournament in women's Team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). Brazil hosted the event from 2–18 December 2011.

Chilean Handball Federation

The Chilean Handball Federation (CHF) is the governing body of handball and beach handball in the Republic of Chile. Founded in 1980, CHF is affiliated to the International Handball Federation and the Pan-American Team Handball Federation. CHF is also affiliated to the Chilean Olympic Committee. It is based in Santiago.

The qualification for the 2012 Women's Olympic Handball Tournament is held from December 2010 to May 2012.

Australian Handball Federation

The Australian Handball Federation (AHF) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of handball in Australia.

Irina Alexandra Pop is a Romanian born Dominican team handball player. She plays for the club Associació Lleidatana d'Handbol (Spain) and on the Dominican Republic national team. She competed at the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship in Serbia, where the Dominican Republic placed 23rd.

The qualification for the 2016 Women's Olympic Handball Tournament was held from December 2014 to March 2016. Twelve teams qualified, the hosts, the World champion, four continental champions and six teams from the World Olympic qualification tournaments respectively.

The 2005 Women's Pacific Handball Cup was held in Sydney, Australia between May 25 and 27, 2005.

The 2007 Women's Pacific Handball Cup was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 25–26 May 2007. It featured participants New Zealand, Tahiti, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.

2023 World Mens Handball Championship 28th event hosted by the International Handball Federation

The 2023 IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be the 28th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. It will be held in Poland and Sweden from 11 to 29 January 2023. Denmark are the two-times defending World Champions, having won the 2019 and 2021 edition.

2016–17 EHF Cup

The 2016–17 EHF Cup is the 36th edition of the EHF Cup, the second most important European handball club competition organised by the European Handball Federation (EHF), and the fifth edition since the merger with the EHF Cup Winners' Cup.

The 2017 Pan American Women's Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the Pan American Women's Handball Championship, held in at the Sociedad Alemana de Gimnasia de Villa Ballester, in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina from 18 to 25 June 2017. It acted as American qualifying tournament for the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship. The event was originally set to be held in Toronto, Canada but the Canadian Handball Federation withdrew, citing lack of funds.

The Pan American Youth Beach Handball Championship was the official competition for men's and women's youth national beach handball teams of America. In addition to crowning the Pan American champions, the tournament also served as a qualifying tournament for the IHF Youth Beach Handball World Championship. Only two were held as in 2018, the PATHF disbanded and the tournaments were replaced with the North America & the Caribbean and South & Central American championships.

The South and Central America Handball Confederation (SCAHC) is the governing body of the Olympic sport of Handball and Beach handball in south america and central america. It is affiliated to the International Handball Federation (IHF).
