The 6th season of Liga ABA saw them change their name to the ABA NLB League as their general sponsor changed. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company ceded their sponsorship rights to the NLB group.

The 2010–11 season was the 10th season of the Liga ABA and 14 teams from Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Czech Republic participated in it. It was only time that team from Czech Republic, Nymburk took part in this regional league, and second time since formation that team that is not from former Yugoslavia took part in league.

This was the first time a team from Macedonia, MZT Skopje, and a team from Hungary, Szolnoki Olaj were taking part in this regional league, and the fourth time since the league's creation that team that is not from the former Yugoslavia participates in it. It was also for the first time that two best teams ABA League gained automatic access to the next seasons Euroleague competition, while third placed gained wild card to Euroleague qualification round.
KK Sutjeska is a professional basketball club from Nikšić, Montenegro. The team currently competes in Montenegrin Basketball League and regional Adriatic League. The club was the title holder of the 2013-14 Montenegrin Basketball Cup.
