That was the first participation in the Champions League after 23 seasons as well. In the league, Partizani finished in second place again after losing a title race with Kukësi.

The 2004–05 was KF Laçi's fourth season competing in the Kategoria Superiore. It covered a period from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005. They were relegated back down to Albanian First Division after just one season in the top flight.

In the 2018–19 season, Partizani Tirana competed in the Kategoria Superiore for the sixth consecutive season. The club won the title for the first time since 1992–93 season and for the 16th time total.

In the 2017–18 season, Partizani Tirana competed in the Kategoria Superiore for the fifth consecutive season. The season was the worst since 2014, because Partizani finished in fifth place, after a disastrous beginning and a bad form during the big part of the season. The club qualified for Europe next season, because of another ban of Skënderbeu from European competitions, this time for 10 years.

In the 2013–14 season, Partizani Tirana competed in the Kategoria Superiore after it returned from the Kategoria e Parë to the top flight after four seasons of absence.

In the 2008–09 season, Partizani Tirana was again relegated from the Kategoria Superiore after eight seasons playing in that competition, after a loss in the relegation play-out against Kastrioti Krujë, in a game that was marred by poor refereeing decisions as well as violence.
