Xavier Malisse defeated Stefan Koubek 6–1, 6–3 to win the 2007 Chennai Open singles event.

Xavier Malisse is a Belgian former professional tennis player. Born in the north-western Flemish city of Kortrijk and nicknamed X-Man, he is one of only two Belgian men to have been ranked in the top 20 of the ATP Tour, with a career-high singles ranking of world No. 19.
Juan Carlos Ferrero defeated Martin Verkerk in the final, 6–1, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2003 French Open.
Pete Sampras defeated Andre Agassi in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 5–7, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2002 US Open. It was his record-extending 14th major title. The final was also a rematch of the 1990 and 1995 US Open finals, where Sampras won his first and seventh major titles respectively. It was Sampras' last professional appearance, though he did not officially declare his retirement until 2003. Sampras became the only man in the Open Era to win the final major he played.
Lleyton Hewitt defeated David Nalbandian in the final, 6–1, 6–3, 6–2 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships. It was his second major title, after the 2001 US Open. Hewitt became the first Australian to win the title since Pat Cash in 1987. Goran Ivanišević was the reigning champion, but withdrew due to a shoulder surgery. He would not return to Wimbledon until 2004.
Andre Agassi defeated Rainer Schüttler in the final, 6–2, 6–2, 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2003 Australian Open. It was his fourth Australian Open title, and his eighth and last major title overall. With the win, Agassi claimed his 21st consecutive match win at the Australian Open, as he won the title in 2000 and 2001.
Defending champion Roger Federer defeated Fernando González in the final, 7–6(7–2), 6–4, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2007 Australian Open. It was his third Australian Open title and his tenth major title overall. Federer became the first man to win a major without losing a set since Björn Borg at the 1980 French Open, and the first to do so in a major played on hardcourts. Also, Federer made a record-equaling seventh consecutive major final appearance, after Jack Crawford during the 1930s, and became the first man to reach eleven consecutive major semifinals. González became the first Chilean to reach a major final since Marcelo Ríos in 1998.

Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 6–2, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2007 Indian Wells Masters. He did not lose a single set in the entire tournament. By reaching the final, Djokovic entered the world's top 10 in rankings for the first time in his career.
Philipp Kohlschreiber defeated Mikhail Youzhny 2–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the 2007 BMW Open singles event.
