The 2007 Speedway World Cup Qualification (SWC) was a two events of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the two national teams who qualify for the 2007 Speedway World Cup. According to the FIM rules the top six nations (Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain, Australia Poland, and United States) from the 2006 Speedway World Cup were automatically qualified. Qualification was won by Finland and Russia teams. [1]

The 2005 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 1st FIM Team Speedway Junior World Championship season. The Final took place on October 1 2005 in Pardubice, Czech Republic. World Championship was won by Poland team.
The 2006 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was held in Germany, Sweden and Poland in June and September 2006.
The 2008 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the fourth FIM World Team Junior Championship. The final took place on 21 September 2008, in Holsted, Denmark. The championship was won by the Polish junior team who were the defending champions from 2007. Denmark finished in second place and Sweden were third.
The 1988 Individual Speedway World Championship was held at the Vojens Speedway Center, owned by former World Champion Ole Olsen. Despite the country having won seven World Individual Championships between three riders since 1971, it was the first time Denmark hosted the World Final.
The 1987 Individual Speedway World Championship was contested for the one and only time over two days. The scores from both meetings were combined to produce the eventual winner.

The 2009 Individual Speedway Australian Championship was the 2009 version of the Individual Speedway Australian Championship organised by Motorcycling Australia. The three final rounds took place between 3 January and 10 January. The championship was won by Leigh Adams, who beat the defending champion Chris Holder into second place. Rory Schlein finished third.

The final of the 1979 Speedway World Team Cup, the annual international speedway world championship tournament, took place on 16 September at the White City Stadium in London. The winners were the New Zealand team.
