The 2008 Safeway Championship , Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held February 13 to 17 at Westman Communications Group Place in Brandon, Manitoba. The winning Kerry Burtnyk rink represented Manitoba at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier on home soil in Winnipeg, Manitoba where they missed the playoffs with a 6–5 record. [1]

The 2001 Nokia Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held March 3–11 at the Ottawa Civic Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. It was the very first Brier to be sponsored by Nokia. The theme of the event was the 2001: A Space Odyssey. In the finals, Team Alberta, consisting of skip Randy Ferbey, fourth David Nedohin, second Scott Pfeifer and lead Marcel Rocque would capture their first of four Brier wins as a team. They edged out Team Manitoba skipped by Kerry Burtnyk in the final, 8–4. While the Brier was not unsuccessful, it did end up losing money. The total attendance was 154,136.

The 2009 Safeway Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held February 18 to 22 at the Selkirk Recreation Centre in Selkirk, Manitoba. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink represented Manitoba at the 2009 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, Alberta where they lost in the final to Alberta.

The 2010 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held between March 6 until March 14, 2010 in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the Halifax Metro Centre. It marked the sixth time the Brier had been to Halifax, and the second time in eight years, having previously hosted the 2003 Nokia Brier.

The 2010 Safeway Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship was held February 10 to 14 at the T.G. Smith Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink went on to represent Manitoba at the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The 2011 Safeway Championship, Manitoba men's provincial curling championship was held February 9 to 13 at the Sun Gro Centre in Beausejour. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink represented Manitoba at the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they captured the Brier tankard. As of 2024, this is the last time that a Manitoba provincial champion won a Brier.

The 1992 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from February 29 to March 7, 1992, at the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The total attendance for the week was 42,093.

The 2012 Safeway Championship, Manitoba's men's provincial curling championship, was held from February 8 to 12 at the Credit Union Place in Dauphin, Manitoba. The winning team of Rob Fowler, represented Manitoba at the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The 2012 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held from February 4 to 12 at the Strathcona Paper Centre and the Napanee & District Curling Club in Napanee, Ontario. The winners, the Albertan teams skipped by Brendan Bottcher and Jocelyn Peterman, represented Canada at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships in Östersund, Sweden.

The 2012 The Dominion Curling Club Championship was held from November 19 to 24 at the Scarboro Golf and Country Club in Scarborough, Ontario. In the men's final, Dan Sherrard of Alberta defeated Steve Irwin of Manitoba with a score of 7–6, stealing the winning point in the eight end. In the women's final, Caroline Deans of Ontario defeated Sonia Simard of Quebec with a score of 8–3.

The 2013 Safeway Championship was held from February 6 to 10 at the Yellowhead Centre in Neepawa, Manitoba. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink represented Manitoba at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton, Alberta.

The 2022 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 9 to 13 at the Selkirk Curling Club in Selkirk. The winning Mike McEwen represented Manitoba at the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier.

The 2023 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 8 to 12 at the Yellowstone Community Recreation Centre in Neepawa, Manitoba. The winning Matt Dunstone rink represented Manitoba at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished with a silver medal after losing in the final to Team Canada 7–5. The only two losses in the Brier by the Dunstone rink came against Team Canada.

The 2024 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 7 to 11 at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex in Stonewall, Manitoba. The winning Reid Carruthers rink represented Manitoba at the 2024 Montana's Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The 2025 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, will be held from February 5 to 9 at Stride Place in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The winning rink will represent Manitoba at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia.
