The 2008 Tongan Legislative Assembly is the previous term of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga. Its composition was determined by the 2008 elections, held on April 23 and 24, 2008. It served until 2010, when special elections were held under a new constitution.
Nine members of the parliament are People's Representatives, nine represent the 33 nobles, and fourteen are Cabinet Ministers appointed by the King.
The Speaker of the 2008 Legislative Assembly was Hon Tu'ilakepa.

The Legislative Assembly of Alberta is the deliberative assembly of the Alberta Legislature for the province of Alberta, Canada, and is seated at the Alberta Legislature Building in the provincial capital of Edmonton. Dhulipalla Veeraiah Chowdary – Telugu Desam Party is the present MLA of the constituency, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. As of 25 March 2019, there a total of 227,727 electors in the constituency.
Legislative Assembly elections in India were conducted for nine legislative assemblies in 2013. Voting in Chhattisgarh was held in two phases on 11 November and 19 November 2013. The Election Commission of India (ECI) successfully conducted elections in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland in February and in Karnataka on 5 May. The elections in Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were conducted in December while the counting that took place on 8 December showed a clear majority for BJP in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, while Congress retained the state of Mizoram and Delhi got a hung assembly, with no single party getting a clear majority.

Sawaijpur Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Hardoi district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Hardoi. First election in this assembly constituency was held in 2012 after the "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008" was passed and the constituency was formed in 2008. The constituency is assigned identification number 154.
Gundlupet is one of the 244 electoral constituencies that form the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in the south-Indian state of Karnataka. The constituency was formed in 1957 after Mysore State was reorganized as the result of States Reorganisation Act, 1956. As of 2016, thirteen elections have been held in the constituency for electing the Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly and only three candidates have been elected. While K. S. Nagarathanamma won the first election of 1957, she went on to be elected six more times. H. K. Shivarudrappa won in 1978 and since 1994 H. S. Mahadeva Prasad has won the seat five times consecutively. Following Mahadeva Prasad's death on 3 January 2017. The by election of Gundlupet Vidhan Sabha constituency in 2017 was won by M. C. Mohan Kumari Urf Geetha.
The 2005 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election was held in three phases from 3 to 23 February 2005 to elect the 81 members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. It was the first election held in Jharkhand to elect the Second Jharkhand Legislative Assembly; the First/Interim Jharkhand Legislative Assembly was constituted based on the 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Jharkhand was created by carving out the southern districts of Bihar on 15 November 2000. The election resulted in a hung assembly like the first one. No single party or pre-election alliance got the majority. The Bharatiya Janata Party become the biggest party by winning 30 seats. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha got 17 seats and the Indian National Congress got nine seats.
1977 Bihar Legislative Assembly election was held in 1977 to elect members to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in the state of Bihar, India. The Janata Party's decisive victories in the state and political elections ensured Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur's victory.
