The 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup was the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup's second season. In 2009 10 races were set to take place on eight circuits. Both Virginia International Raceway and New Jersey Motorsports Park were doubleheader events hosting two rounds each. There are also four new tracks for the 2009 season, Miller Motorsports Park, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Autobahn Country Club, and Road America. Gone for the season are Iowa Speedway and Lime Rock Park. [1]

Also new for this season is a new fuel from Hyperfuels, the official supplier for the TDI Cup. This year all the race cars, as well as all the vehicle/equipment transporters and generators used by the series, will run SynDiesel B5 Biodiesel. [1] Late in the 2008 season, Pirelli announced that they would be the official tire supplier for the 2009 season. [2]

The Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup was a single-make racing series sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America. The series was started in 2008 and was a sports car series that ran only in North America, the series quietly folded in 2011.

Jeb Burton American racing driver

John Edward "Jeb" Burton IV is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro for Our Motorsports. He is the son of Ward Burton, the nephew of Jeff Burton, and the cousin of Jeff's son Harrison Burton. He competed for several seasons as a regular driver at South Boston Speedway, an American racing circuit where his family is historically known for competing, as well as at Ace Speedway. The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup season was the third & final season of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. It consisted of seven race meetings with ten total races. JD Mobley won the championship by 21 points over Juan Pablo Sierra Lendle with two poles and two wins.

After a career in single seaters, Thompson won the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Platinum Class in 2014 and the Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup in 2015. He is the son of 1989 American Racing Series driver John Thompson.

Volkswagen Vento (A3) Motor vehicle

The Volkswagen Vento is a small family car, the third generation of the Volkswagen Jetta and the successor to the Volkswagen Jetta (A2). For the third generation, the Jetta name was discontinued, and it was officially renamed the Volkswagen Vento in European countries, following the precedent of naming cars after winds, debuted in 1992. The Jetta 3 debuted in North America in 1993 after production delays and quality problems at the Volkswagen plant in Puebla, Mexico. The name "Vento" means "wind" in both Portuguese and Italian. Volkswagen Jetta (A6) German compact car

The Volkswagen Jetta (A6) is a compact car, the sixth generation of the Volkswagen Jetta and the successor to the Jetta (A5). Known as the NCS during its development, it was released in 2010 and was phased out since 2018 to make way for the Jetta (A7). The A6 Jetta is notable for leaving the premium positioning in the compact car segment, a strategy employed by Volkswagen to increase volume in the North American market. It also marked the departure from being a sedan derivative of the Golf, opting for a dedicated bodywork instead.

Volkswagen Bora Motor vehicle

The Volkswagen Bora is a small family car, the fourth generation of the Volkswagen Jetta, and the successor to the Volkswagen Vento. Production of the car began in July 1999. Carrying on the wind nomenclature from previous generations, the car was known as the Volkswagen Bora in much of the world. Bora is a winter wind that blows intermittently over the coast of the Adriatic Sea, as well as in parts of Greece, Russia, Turkey, and the Sliven region of Bulgaria. In North America and South Africa, the Volkswagen Jetta moniker was again kept on due to the continued popularity of the car in those markets.

The 2020 TCR Denmark Touring Car Series is the inaugural season of the TCR Denmark Touring Car Series. The season started on the 18/19 April at Jyllandsringen and will end on the 10/11 October at Padborg Park.
