Sporting Clube de Goa, simply known as Sporting Goa, is an Indian professional football club based in Panaji, in the Indian state of Goa, that competes in Goa Professional League. The club has also competed in the I-League, then top flight of Indian football league system. It is built on the lines of Portuguese club Sporting CP and adopting a similar club crest. Its Futsal section competes in the Futsal Club Championship, top tier futsal club competition of the country.
Salgaocar Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Vasco, Goa, that competes in the Goa Professional League. They have also played in the I-League, then top flight of Indian football league system. Founded in 1956, the club is owned by the V. M. Salgaocar Group of Companies.

Dempo are the defending champions. On 30 May 2011 Salgaocar SC won the title by beating JCT FC 2–0 in the final match of the season.

The AIFF development team, Pailan Arrows, did not field their team in the competition as they were already an U21-Team in the I-League. The preliminary phase of the 2012 U20 league was held played in three different cities, Kalyani, Mumbai and within the state of Goa. The final round of the competition was held in Kalyani with Pune F.C. Academy coming out as winners.

The 2014 Indian Federation Cup Final was a football match between Churchill Brothers and Sporting Goa played on 25 January 2014 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala. The match was the culmination of the 2013–14 Indian Federation Cup. This was the 35th edition of the Federation Cup, the national cup tournament of football in India which is administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Churchill Brothers won by defeating Sporting Goa 3–1 with goals scored by Balwant Singh, Alesh Sawant, and Abdelhamid Shabana while the Sporting Goa goal came from Victorino Fernandes. This was the first time Churchill Brothers had won the tournament.

The season began on 17 January 2015, after the conclusion of the 2014–15 Federation Cup and finished on 31 May 2015 with a title deciding match between defending champions Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan. The season began on 8 October 2015. and on 10 February 2016, AIFF Elite Academy won the title by defeating Tata Football Academy 2–0 in the final. AIFF Elite Academy also remained unbeaten in the tournament.

The 2019 Durand Cup was the 129th edition of the Durand Cup, oldest football tournament in Asia, since the tournament's founding in 1888. 16 teams competed in the tournament. The matches were played across three locations in West Bengal, namely Kolkata, Howrah and Kalyani from 2 August 2019. The final took place at the Salt Lake Stadium on 24 August 2019.

Reserves generally consist of under–21 players, but at times senior players also play, if recuperating from injury or not getting first team game time. The reserve side usually plays in the Calcutta Football League.
