The 2011 I-League 2nd Division is the fourth season of the second division of the I-League, the Indian professional football league. A total of 21 teams were divided into three groups and top two teams from each group played in final round, they will be joined by Shillong Lajong and Sporting Goa. [2]

Schedules and groups

The Second Division League fixtures for the preliminary round were as follows. Group A matches were scheduled to be played from 27 March to 9 April, while Group B Matches would be held from 2 April to 18 April and Group C matches would be played from 31 March to 17 April.[ citation needed ]

2011 I-League 2nd Division final round involved eight teams, two from every group of 2011 I-League 2nd Division plus Shillong Lajong and Sporting Goa. United Sikkim, Southern Samity, Mohammedan, Royal Wahingdoh, Vasco and Ar-Hima qualified for Final round.

The 2012 I-League 2nd Division was the fifth season of the league. The league serves as the second top tier of Indian Football, using promotion and relegation with the I-League, which is top tier league of India.

The 2020–21 I-League was the 14th season of the I-League, one of the top tier Indian professional football leagues, since its establishment in 2007. The tournament was hosted in bio-secure bubble across four venues in Kolkata due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in India.

The 2021–22 I-League was the 15th season of I-League, last as the top tier of Indian football league system, since its establishment in 2007. All the matches were hosted in a bio-secure bubble in West Bengal due to COVID-19 pandemic in India.

2022–23 Hero I-League 2nd Division was the 15th season of the I-League 2nd Division since its establishment in 2008. This was the first season of I-League 2nd Division since rebranding as the third tier of Indian football league system. The league's group stage has been played from March to May 2023, parallel to the remaining part of both I-League and Indian Super League seasons. The top two teams on the league table, Delhi and Shillong Lajong, secured a place in the 2023–24 I-League season.

The 2023 Super Cup was the third edition of the Super Cup and the 41st season of the national knockout football competition in India. The competition was sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and known as the Hero Super Cup for sponsorship purposes.
