Ali Hassan Majid al-Tikriti, nicknamed Chemical Ali, was an Iraqi politician and military commander under Saddam Hussein who served as defence minister, interior minister, and chief of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. He was also the governor of Kuwait during much of the 1990–91 Gulf War.
ʻAbd al-Majīd, also spelled as Abd ul Majid, Abd ul-Majid, Abd ol Majid, Abd ol-Majid, and Abdolmajid, is a Muslim male given name and, in modern usage, surname. It is built from the Arabic words ʻabd and al-Majīd, one of the names of God in the Qur'an, which give rise to the Muslim theophoric names. It means "servant of the All-glorious". It is rendered in Turkish as Abdülmecid.

Established in 1920, the Ministry of Justice of Lebanon is one of the ministries of the Lebanese government. The first incarnation of the ministry was the Department of Justice, Property and Endowments which was headed by the Director of Justice. By 1959, the ministry adopted its current name and its objectives of organizing and administering the judiciary of Lebanon had long been underscored by various decrees. Emira Zeina Arslan is the wife of Emir Talal Arslan, son of Lebanese independence figure Emir Majid Arslan II and Head of the House of Arslan which includes the Lakhmid throne of Al-Hira. She takes care of social affairs and is not involved in politics.
Haidar Mahmoud Majid is an Iraqi football coach and former player. As a player, Mahmoud played as a right-back, representing Iraq in the 1996 and 2000 AFC Asian Cup. He also played club football with Al Zawraa for 10 years.
The Socialist Arab Lebanon Vanguard Party is a political party in Lebanon. The party was led by Abd al-Majid al-Rafei until his death in July 2017. It is the Lebanese regional branch of the Iraqi-led Ba'ath Party. The party held its second congress in October 2011. Founders of the party included Dr. Abd al-Majid al-Rafe'ii, Jihad George Karam, Rafiq Naseeb al-Faqih,Rashid Abo Falah,Karam Mohamed al-Sahili, Hani Mohammad Sho'aib, Ammar Mohammad Shibli, Hassan Khalil Gharib and Wassef El Harakeh. Although formally affiliated to the Sunni-dominated regime in Baghdad, the majority of the party's members were Lebanese Shiites.
Voting to elect eight members of the Lebanese parliament took place in Chouf District on April 7, 1968, as part of the national general election of that year. Three of the seats of the constituency were earmarked for the Maronite community, two for the Sunni Muslim, two for the Druze whilst the last seat was allocated to the Greek Catholics. The Chouf District constituency had 78,557 eligible voters, out of whom 46,056 voted. All in all Chouf District was one of the most hotly contested constituencies in the election, being the home turf of Camille Chamoun and Kamal Jumblatt. The situation in the constituency was tense, but the polls went through without violent incidents. However, Jumblatt did accuse 'a large embassy in Beirut' of buying votes for Chamoun.
Voting to elect four members of the Lebanese parliament took place in the predominantly Shia Muslim Marjeyoun-Hasbaya constituency in southern Lebanon on March 31, 1968, part of the national general election of that year. Two of the seats of the constituency were earmarked for the Shia Muslim community, one for the Sunni Muslims and one for the Greek Orthodox. The constituency had 45,849 eligible voters, out of whom 23,224 voted. The polling day was marred by heavy rains.

As'ad Adib Bayudh was a Lebanese Greek Orthodox politician. He was elected to the Parliament of Lebanon from the Marjeyoun-Hasbaya constituency in southern Lebanon in the 1960 and 1964 elections.
The Iranian embassy bombing was a double suicide bombing that occurred in front of the Iranian embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on 19 November 2013. The two bombings resulted in 23 deaths and injured at least 160 others.
