The 5th Kuwaiti Federation Cup started on 5 September 2011.
The fifth Federation Cup is one of four competitions in the Kuwaiti 2011/2012 season. 14 clubs are taking part in the tournament.
They were divided into two groups of seven, and the winner and runner-up of each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The Kuwait national football team is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages. In the Asian Cup, Kuwait reached the final in 1976 and won the tournament in 1980.

Kuwait SC also has over 50 trophies to their name in Kuwaiti Club football history. Kuwait SC plays in the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium, in Kaifan, which is the 5th largest stadium in Kuwait. It is the first Kuwaiti club to ever win an Asian title, 2009 AFC Cup, 2012 AFC Cup and 2013 AFC Cup.

The 2020 AFC Futsal Championship would have been the 16th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's national teams of Asia. A total of 16 teams would have taken part in the tournament.
