The 2011 Indian Federation Cup was the 33rd season of the knock-out competition. On 13 August 2011 the AIFF announced that 21 clubs had been accepted to the tournament. [1]

The tournament Qualifiers commence from 8 September to 13 September and Final Group Round quarterfinals start from 17 September. The winner of this prestigious tournament will book their place in 2012 AFC Cup. [2]

East Bengal qualifies for 2012 AFC Cup because Salgaocar S.C. already qualified via them being I-League champions.

Brand Value Communications Ltd. broadcast all 27 final group phase matches of the competition through their channels News Time Bangla and News Time Assam in West Bengal and Assam respectively. On 20 September, DD Sports announced that they would telecast the matches starting with the two games that ended the group phase on 22 September. DD Sports also aired the semi-finals and final. [4]

The 2011 Indian Federation Cup Final was the 33rd final of the Indian Federation Cup. It was won by Salgaocar of the I-League on 29 September 2011 after beating East Bengal 3-1 at the Salt Lake Stadium.

The knock-out stage of the 2013 AFC Cup was played from 14 May to 2 November 2013. A total of 16 teams competed in the knock-out stage.

The 2014 IFA Shield was the 118th edition of the IFA Shield. The tournament was held from 29 January to 11 February 2014 in Kolkata. That year, the Indian Football Association announced that three foreign clubs to participate in the tournament, S.League club Geylang International FC, South Korean Sun Moon University and Bangladesh Premier League club Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.

The 2016 AFC U-16 Championship was the 17th edition of the AFC U-16 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-16 national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in India, as announced by the AFC on 3 June 2015, and was played between 15 September and 2 October 2016. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament.

The 1998 Indian Federation Cup, also known as 1998 Kalyani Black Label Federation Cup due to sponsorship reasons, was the 21st season of the Indian Federation Cup. It was held between 23 August and 12 September 1998. Salgaocar were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the first round by State Bank of Travancore. Mohun Bagan won the tournament for the tenth time, following a 2–1 over East Bengal in the final played at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, a replay of the previous edition's semifinal when the latter won. Amit Das and Hemanta Dora of Mohun Bagan were named the Player and Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

The 2017–18 Santosh Trophy was the 72nd edition of the Santosh Trophy, the premier competition in India for teams representing their regional and state football associations. The competition began with qualifiers on 8 January 2018 and concluded with the final on 1 April 2018. Kerala won the competition, their sixth championship, by defeating West Bengal during the final in penalties 4–2.

The 2018 Super Cup was the inaugural edition of the Super Cup and the 39th season of the national knockout football competition in India. The competition was sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and is officially known as the Hero Super Cup. The Super Cup replaced the Federation Cup as the national knockout competition. The competition began with the qualifiers on 15 March 2018 and concluded with the final on 20 April 2018. The entire tournament took place in the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.

The 2018 Santosh Trophy Final was a match between Kerala and West Bengal, played on 1 April 2018, at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, West Bengal. The match was a culmination of the 2017–18 Santosh Trophy, the 72nd edition of the football competition contested by regional state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation. Kerala won the match after defeating West Bengal in a penalty shootout 4–2. In regulation time, the match ended 1–1 while during extra time, a goal each found both sides tied 2–2 after 120 minutes.

The 2019 Durand Cup was the 129th edition of the Durand Cup, oldest football tournament in Asia, since the tournament's founding in 1888. 16 teams competed in the tournament. The matches were played across three locations in West Bengal, namely Kolkata, Howrah and Kalyani from 2 August 2019. The final took place at the Salt Lake Stadium on 24 August 2019.

The third round of 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification was played from 8 to 14 June 2022 in six centralised venues. It was originally scheduled for 30 March 2021 to 29 March 2022, but the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) changed the dates on multiple occasions due to postponements of matches in the second round, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia.

The 1997 Indian Federation Cup Final was the 20th final of the Indian Federation Cup, the top knock-out competition in India, and was contested between Kolkata giant East Bengal and Salgaocar of Goa on 20 July 1997 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
