Odafa Onyeka Okolie is a Nigerian former professional footballer who spent most of his career in India. He last played for Gokulam Kerala in the I-League. He was once the highest paid footballer in I-league history, earning approximately ₹16 million per year in 2011 while playing for Mohun Bagan. Odafa is second in the list of all-time leading goalscorer in the I-League and National Football League history with 179 goals, and has been the top goal scorer on three consecutive seasons.

The 2011–12 I-League was the fifth season of the I-League. The season began in October 2011 and ended in May 2012. Salgaocar are the defending champions, having won their maiden title in the previous season.

The 2011–12 season is the 124th competitive association football season in India since the inaugural Durand Cup in 1888. The season began on the 8 September 2011 with the Federation Cup.

The 2011–12 season is East Bengal Football Club's 5th season in the I-League, and also marks the club's 92nd season. East Bengal will seek to win their first league trophy for 7 seasons, competing in the I-League, the Federation Cup and the AFC Cup.

The 2012–13 I-League was the sixth season of the I-League, the Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 6 October 2012 and finished on 12 May 2013 with Churchill Brothers crowned champions in matchday 25.

The 2012 I-League U20 was the fourth season of the Indian I-League U20 competition. The season ran alongside the closing stages of the 2011–12 I-League season. The AIFF development team, Pailan Arrows, did not field their team in the competition as they were already an U21-Team in the I-League. The preliminary phase of the 2012 U20 league was held played in three different cities, Kalyani, Mumbai and within the state of Goa. The final round of the competition was held in Kalyani with Pune F.C. Academy coming out as winners.

This is a list of the transfers for the 2012–13 I-League season. Additionally, players without a club may join at any time, clubs below I-League level may sign players on loan at any time, and clubs may sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan if they have no registered goalkeeper available.

The 2012 Indian Federation Cup was the 34th season of the top knock-out competition in India. The qualifiers started in August while the Final Round took place from 19 September 2012 to 30 September 2012.

The 2012–13 Pune F.C. season is the club's 5th and 6th year of existence as well as its 4th season in I-League, the top-flight of Indian football.

The 2012–13 United Sikkim F.C. season will be the club's third season since their formation in 2008 and their first season ever in the I-League which is India's top football league.

The 2012–13 Mumbai F.C. season will be the club's sixth season since their formation in 2007 and their fifth season ever in the I-League which is India's top football league.

The 2012–13 Dempo S.C. season was the club's 45th season since their formation in 1967 and their 15th season ever in the I-League, India's top football league.

The 2013–14 Pune F.C. season is the club's fifth season in I-League, the top flight of Indian football and the seventh season in the club's entire history. This season will also see the club participate in Asia's top footballing competition, the AFC Champions League, in 2014 after India was awarded a spot in the tournament qualifiers and the club were announced as the best club in India to complete the club licensing requirements set by the All India Football Federation.
