The 2012 season was Arsenal Ladies Football Club's 25th season since forming in 1987. The club participated in the second edition of the FA WSL, England's top flight for women's football since 2011, winning it for a second season in a row with an unbeaten campaign. Kit information

Arsenal's home, away, third and goalkeeper outfits featured an anniversary crest to mark the club's 125th anniversary. The crest featured 15 laurel leaves on the left side of the crest to reflect the detail on the reverse of the sixpence pieces paid by 15 men to establish the Club in Woolwich in 1886. The 15 oak leaves to the right of the crest paid tribute to the founders who would meet in the local Royal Oak pub. Underneath the crest was one of the club's first recorded mottos – "Forward" – with the anniversary dates of 1886 and 2011 either side.

This was the first time since 1986 that Arsenal went four consecutive seasons without winning a trophy.

During the 1992–93 English football season, Chelsea F.C. competed in the inaugural season of the FA Premier League.

The 2011–12 Premier League season was Aston Villa's 137th season in English football. It was the club's 101st season in the top-flight; and their 24th consecutive season in the top flight of English football, the Premier League. The club was managed by former Birmingham boss Alex McLeish, following Gérard Houllier's departure on 1 June 2011 after less than a year in charge. An extremely disappointing season for the club, saw them finish in 16th place and only two points off relegation. Numerous records were broken during the season including: the lowest points total in the Premier League, fewest wins in a season (7) and worst home record in Villa's 138-year history. As well as poor performances in both domestic cups – being knocked out in the third round of the League Cup and the fourth round of the FA Cup – this season eventually culminated in the sacking of McLeish on 14 May 2012, a day after the season had concluded.

In the 1985-86 season Chelsea played in the First Division for the second successive season.

The 2012–13 season was Arsenal Football Club's 21st season in the Premier League and 87th consecutive season in the top flight of English football. Arsenal participated in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, after finishing third in the previous Premier League season. The League Cup however was out of their reach, and despite an entertaining cup run, which included 13 goals scored in two games, Arsenal lost to fourth-division Bradford City in the quarter-finals on penalties. In the FA Cup, Arsenal were knocked out by Championship side Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round. The Champions League also proved fruitless, as despite a valiant effort in Bavaria winning 2–0, they were ultimately knocked out on the away goals rule against Bayern Munich, thus extending their trophy drought for an eighth season. The highest scoring game in their season was the famous 7–5 win in the League Cup, where they came back from 4 goals down to beat Reading. Arsenal's highest scoring league win was the 7–3 win against Newcastle United in December; this was also their joint highest-scoring Premier League game of all time. This season, Arsenal finished fourth after having to close another large points gap between themselves and their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who they beat 5-2 for the second season running.

The 2014–15 Huddersfield Town A.F.C. season was Huddersfield Town A.F.C.'s third consecutive edition in the second tier of English football, the Football League Championship.

The 2017 season was Arsenal Ladies' 7th season in the Women's Super League, 25th season in the top flight, and the 30th season overall. The club participated in the WSL and the FA Cup.
