The 2012 Boston College Eagles football team represented Boston College as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by fourth-year head coach Frank Spaziani and played their home games at Alumni Stadium. Boston College finished the season 2–10 overall and 1–7 in ACC play to place last of six teams in Atlantic Division.

On November 25, Boston College's athletic director, Brad Bates, announced that Spaziani has been relieved of duties as head coach of the Eagles. [2]

The Eagles finished the season 8–5, 5–3 in ACC play and lost in the Emerald Bowl 24–13 against USC.

Stephen Robert Addazio is an American football coach and broadcaster and former player. He became a color commentator for ESPN's college football broadcasts before the 2024 season. Before becoming a broadcaster, Addazio served as a high school and college coach for almost forty years, most recently he was the offensive line coach for Texas A&M University. He served as the head football coach at Temple University from 2011 to 2012, Boston College from 2013 to 2019, and Colorado State University from 2020 to 2021. Before that, he was an offensive assistant for several college teams, including six seasons as an offensive line coach, assistant head coach, and offensive coordinator for the Florida Gators and was a part of two BCS National Championship Game-winning coaching staffs under head coach Urban Meyer.

The 2012 ACC football season was an NCAA football season that was played from September 1, 2012, to January 1, 2013. At the time, the Atlantic Coast Conference consisted of 12 members in two divisions. The Atlantic division consists of Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, North Carolina State and Wake Forest. The Coastal division consists of Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The division champions met on December 1 in the 2012 ACC Championship Game, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. This season also marked the 60th football season in the conference's history.

The Boston College Eagles women's soccer team represent Boston College in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of NCAA Division I women's college soccer. The team has never won the ACC regular season championship, but has won the ECAC championship twice and shared the ACC regular season title once. The team has advanced to the NCAA Women's soccer tournament 19 times, including one College Cup appearance.

They were led by seventh-year head coach Steve Addazio until his dismissal on December 1, 2019. For their bowl game, the Eagles were led by interim head coach Rich Gunnell.
