The 2012 Great West Conference baseball tournament took place from May 22 through 26. All eight of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Utah Valley University's Brent Brown Ballpark in Orem, Utah. Utah Valley won their third championship by a score of 10-6, having advanced undefeated in conference regular season and tournament play. As the Great West is a new conference, the league does not have an automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. All eight teams will be seeded based on conference winning percentage only.

The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Member institutions are located in the western United States in the eight states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Four affiliate members each participate in one sport: two from California are football–only participants and two from the Northeast participate only in men's golf.
The Great West Conference (GWC) was an NCAA college athletic conference in the continental United States. Originally a football-only league, it became an all-sports entity during the 2008–09 season. The GWC stopped sponsoring football following the 2011 season. The conference became defunct when four of the remaining five full member schools became members of other conferences on July 1, 2013.
The North Dakota State Bison is the name of the athletic teams of North Dakota State University (NDSU), which is located in the city of Fargo, North Dakota. The teams are often called the "Thundering Herd". The current logo is a bison.
The Utah Utes are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City. The athletic department is named after the Ute tribe of Native Americans. The men's basketball team is known as the Runnin' Utes; the women's gymnastics team is known as the Red Rocks
The Utah Valley Wolverines represent Utah Valley University in NCAA DI collegiate athletics and sponsor 16 sporting programs. The Wolverines participate in the Western Athletic Conference. The school mascot is the Wolverine, and the colors are green and white. The UVU student section is called The Den. A name change from The Mawl, the student section's previous name, was enacted in 2017. All UVU students can get their Den pass, which includes free admission to all athletic events.
The 2004–05 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 10, 2004, progressed through the regular season and conference tournaments, and concluded with the 2005 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament championship game on April 4, 2005 at the Edward Jones Dome in Saint Louis, Missouri. The North Carolina Tar Heels won their fourth NCAA national championship with a 75–70 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini.
The Mercer Bears are the athletic teams of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. The College World Series, which consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament, was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska, at Rosenblatt Stadium. It concluded on June 24, 2009, with the final game of the best of three championship series. LSU defeated Texas two games to one to claim their sixth championship.

The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2010 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2010 College World Series. The College World Series, which consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament, was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska. It was the final College World Series held at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium, which closed following the event. It concluded on June 30, 2010, with the final game of the best of three championship series. South Carolina defeated UCLA two games to none to claim their first championship, which was also South Carolina's first national championship in any men's sport.
The Belmont Bruins are the intercollegiate athletic teams of Belmont University located in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The Bruins athletic program is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Prior to 2022, the Bruins were members of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and competes at the NCAA Division I level.
The Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team, or the UTRGV Vaqueros, is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, an NCAA Division I institution with several campuses in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, United States. UTRGV was formally founded in 2013 with the announced merger of the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA), with its main campus in Edinburg, and the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in Brownsville, with the merged university beginning operation in the 2015–16 school year. The Vaqueros compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), play home games at UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg, and are coached by Derek Matlock.

All eight teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Missouri State's Hammons Field in Springfield, MO. Creighton won their third tournament championship and second in a row and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2012 Mid-American Conference baseball tournament took place from May 23 through 26. The top eight regular season finishers of the league's twelve teams, regardless of division, met in the double-elimination tournament held at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, OH. Kent State won their fourth consecutive tournament and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2011 Great West Conference baseball tournament took place from May 24 through 28. All eight of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament to be held at University of North Dakota's Harold Kraft Memorial Field in Grand Forks, ND. Utah Valley won their second championship by a score of 10-6. As the Great West is a new conference, the league does not have an automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2010 Great West Conference baseball tournament took place from May 26 through 29. This was the first Great West Conference baseball tournament. All eight of the league's teams met in the round robin tournament held at University of Texas–Pan American's Edinburg Stadium in Edinburg, Texas. Utah Valley won the championship by a score of 4-3. As the Great West is a new conference, the league does not have an automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

UCLA defeated Mississippi State two games to none to claim their first championship.
The 2005 Mountain West Conference baseball tournament took place from May 23 through 27. All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at University of Utah's Franklin Covey Field. Top seeded UNLV won their third straight and third overall Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship with a championship game score of 7–4 and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2005 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2013 Great West Conference baseball tournament was held from May 21 through 25. All eight of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at new Jersey Institute of Technology's Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium in Newark, New Jersey. As the Great West is a new conference, the league does not have an automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Third seeded Houston Baptist won their first championship, ending Utah Valley's run of three consecutive titles dating to the event's inception.
The 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 14, 2014. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2014 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 25, 2014 with the final game of the best-of-three championship series between Vanderbilt and Virginia, won by Vanderbilt.
