Belinda Bencic won the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 Canadian Open after Simona Halep retired in the final, with scoreline at 7–6(7–5), 6–7(4–7), 3–0. Bencic defeated six major finalists in succession en route to her first WTA Tour title. At 18 years and 23 weeks of age, Bencic became the youngest woman to win the tournament, surpassing Ana Ivanovic's record from 2006.

Elina Svitolina defeated Caroline Wozniacki in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2017 Canadian Open. It was her third consecutive Premier 5 title, making her the first woman to win the first three Premier 5 tournaments in a season, as well as the first to win three consecutive Premier 5 tournaments since Wozniacki won Montreal and Tokyo in 2010 and Dubai in 2011. This was also Wozniacki's sixth consecutive loss in a final in 2017, making her the first to lose that many finals in a row in one season, as well as the first woman to lose six finals in a single season since Maria Sharapova in 2012.

Garbiñe Muguruza defeated Simona Halep in the final, 6–1, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2017 Cincinnati Masters. By losing in the final, Halep failed to take advantage of her third opportunity in 2017 to take over the WTA No. 1 singles ranking when the top ranking was only one match win away.

Agnieszka Radwańska was the defending champion, but lost in the semifinals to Daria Gavrilova.

The 2018 Mexican Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 25th edition of the men's tournament, and part of the 2018 ATP World Tour and the 2018 WTA Tour. It took place in Acapulco, Mexico between 26 February and 3 March 2018, at the Princess Mundo Imperial.

Karolína Plíšková was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Aryna Sabalenka.

Kiki Bertens defeated Simona Halep in the final, 2–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 Cincinnati Masters. En route to her first hard court & Premier 5-level title, Bertens defeated the world No. 2 & No. 1 players, in the second round and final, respectively. She became the first Dutchwoman to win the title.

Belinda Bencic defeated Petra Kvitová in the final, 6–3, 1–6, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 Dubai Tennis Championships. She saved six match points en route to the title, in the third round against Aryna Sabalenka. For the second time in her career, Bencic defeated four consecutive top-ten players en route to a Premier 5 title. This was her first WTA singles title since winning the Premier 5 Rogers Cup title in 2015, and lifted her back inside the top 25 in rankings for the first time in over two and a half years.

Bianca Andreescu defeated Angelique Kerber in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 Indian Wells Open. It was her first WTA Tour title, and Andreescu became the first wildcard champion in the tournament's history, as well as the youngest champion since Serena Williams in 1999. This marked the second consecutive year where a player won the tournament as her first WTA Tour singles title.

Ashleigh Barty defeated Karolína Plíšková in the final, 7–6(7–1), 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 Miami Open. It was Barty's first WTA Premier Mandatory title. She entered the top 10 in the WTA rankings for the first time with the win.

The 2021 French Open – Women's singles qualifying was a series of tennis matches that took place from 24 May to 28 May 2021 to determine the sixteen qualifiers into the main draw of the 2021 French Open – Women's singles, and, if necessary, the lucky losers.

Iga Świątek defeated Naomi Osaka in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. She became the fourth woman in history to complete the Sunshine Double in singles, having won Indian Wells two weeks earlier. It was Świątek's first Miami Open title, her third consecutive WTA 1000 title, and her fourth WTA 1000-level title overall. Świątek became the first woman in history to win the first three WTA 1000 titles of the year in succession, the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win three consecutive WTA 1000 titles, and extended her winning streak to 17 matches. She lost no sets and just 26 games en route to the title, the fewest since Martina Hingis dropped 21 games in 2000.
