Eugenie "Genie" Bouchard is a Canadian tennis player. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player representing Canada to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament in singles, finishing runner-up to Petra Kvitová. Bouchard also reached the semifinals of the 2014 Australian Open and 2014 French Open. Having won the 2012 Wimbledon girls' title, she was named WTA Newcomer of the Year at the end of the 2013 WTA Tour. Finally, Bouchard received the WTA Most Improved Player award for the 2014 season and reached a career-high ranking of No. 5, becoming the first Canadian tennis player to be ranked in the top 5 in singles format.

Kristýna Plíšková was the defending champion but was no longer eligible to compete as a junior.

Tímea Babos and Sloane Stephens were the defending champions but were no longer eligible to compete as juniors.

Françoise Abanda Canadian tennis player

Françoise Abanda is a Canadian professional tennis player. She reached her highest WTA singles ranking of 111 on October 9, 2017 and her highest WTA doubles ranking of 197 on September 8, 2014. She achieved a career-high combined junior rank of No. 4 on April 29, 2013.

2011 champion Petra Kvitová defeated Eugenie Bouchard in the final in straight sets, 6–3, 6–0 to win the Ladies' Singles tennis title at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships. The final lasted only 55 minutes, the fifth-shortest women's singles final in Wimbledon history in terms of time elapsed. Bouchard had not lost a set prior to the final and was the betting favorite to win. Marion Bartoli was the reigning champion, but retired from professional tennis in August 2013. Kvitová dropped only one set the entire tournament, to Venus Williams in the third round.

Serena Williams defeated Maria Sharapova in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 Australian Open. This was her sixth Australian Open title and her 19th major singles title overall.

Serena Williams defeated Lucie Šafářová in the final, 6–3, 6–7(2–7), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 French Open. It was her third French Open title and 20th major singles title overall. With the win, Williams also completed the triple career Grand Slam. It was Šafářová's maiden major final.

Serena Williams defeated Garbiñe Muguruza in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the Ladies' Singles tennis title at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships. It was her sixth Wimbledon singles title and her 21st singles major title overall. With the win, Williams also completed her second non-calendar year Grand Slam, having won the 2014 US Open, 2015 Australian Open and 2015 French Open. Also, this was the first time since 2002 that a woman completed the Channel Slam, Williams herself being the last player to do so.

Serena Williams defeated her sister Venus Williams in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2017 Australian Open. It was her seventh Australian Open singles title and her 23rd major singles title overall, surpassing Steffi Graf as the Open Era leader in women's singles major titles. Serena won the title without losing a set during the tournament. This marks the first time the Williams sisters contested a major final since the 2009 Wimbledon Championships, and the first time they contested the Australian Open final since 2003. With the win, Serena also regained the world No. 1 singles ranking. Serena was roughly 8-weeks pregnant with her first daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., by the end of this tournament. It was Venus' first major final since the 2009 Wimbledon Championships.

Angelique Kerber defeated Serena Williams in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the Ladies' Singles tennis title at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships. It was her third major singles title, and she became the first German since Steffi Graf in 1996 to win the title. She lost only one set during the tournament, to Claire Liu in the second round. Williams was attempting to equal Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 major singles titles, and to become the first mother to win a major singles title since Kim Clijsters won the 2011 Australian Open.

World No. 1 Simona Halep won her first Grand Slam title, defeating Sloane Stephens in the final, 3–6, 6–4, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 French Open. She became the second Romanian woman to win a Grand Slam title in Women's Singles after the 1978 French Open champion Virginia Ruzici. She also became the sixth woman to win both the senior and junior title, having won the latter in 2008.

Ashleigh Barty won her first Miami Open title, beating Karolína Plíšková 7–6(7–1), 6–3 in the singles tennis final. As a result of this victory, she entered the top 10 in the WTA Rankings for the first time. Sloane Stephens was the defending champion, but lost in the third round to Tatjana Maria.
