The 2013 Belgian Cup final, named Cofidis Cup after the sponsor, took place on 9 May 2013 between Genk and Cercle Brugge. It was the 58th Belgian Cup final and was won by Genk, with two late goals by Bennard Yao Kumordzi and Jelle Vossen.

Genk defeated Cercle Brugge 2–0 in the final, therefore qualifying for the play-off round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League.

The 2013–14 Belgian Cup was the 59th season of the main knockout football competition in Belgium. It commenced on 26 July 2013 with the first matches of Round 1 and ended on 22 March 2014. The winners qualified for the play-off round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League and the 2014 Belgian Super Cup. Genk were the defending champions, but they did not retain their title as they were eliminated at the quarter-final by Oostende.

The 2019 Belgian Super Cup was a football match that took place on 20 July 2019 between Genk, the winners of the 2018–19 Belgian First Division A, and Mechelen, the winners of the 2018–19 Belgian Cup. In its eighth appearance, Genk won its second Belgian Super Cup after already winning the 2011 edition, by a convincing 3–0 margin. Defender Sébastien Dewaest was twice able to score from a set piece delivery, with Dante Vanzeir scoring the final goal in the closing minutes. Mechelen could have become only the ninth different club to win the Belgian Super Cup, but failed to win again after an earlier loss in the 1987 Belgian Super Cup. With the victory of Genk, the Belgian Super Cup was won for the 15th consecutive year by the league winners, as the 2004 Belgian Super Cup still marked the last year the cup winners overcame the league winners, when Club Brugge beat Anderlecht.

The 2021 Belgian Cup final, named Croky Cup after the sponsor, was the 66th Belgian Cup final. On 13 March 2021, Standard Liège qualified for their 18th final, losing 9 and winning 8. Genk qualified one day later, reaching their sixth final, winning all but one, namely their latest appearance when they lost the 2018 Belgian Cup Final to Standard Liège. It took place on 25 April 2021 and was won by Genk.
