The 2013 Dallas Cup was the 34th since its establishment. The Dallas Cup is an international soccer tournament for invited youth teams, held annually in Dallas, Texas, United States. Twelve teams participated in the 2013 tournament. The competition was sponsored by Dr Pepper.

The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the world championship for men's national football teams. It was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations South Africa 2013 for sponsorship reasons, held from 19 January to 10 February 2013, was the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, the football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Starting from this edition, the tournament was switched to being held in odd-numbered years instead of even-numbered years so that it does not clash with the FIFA World Cup.

The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, commonly known as the Dallas Cup, is an annual international football tournament for invited youth teams. The tournament was established in 1980 and is held in Dallas, Texas, with FC Dallas serving as its host club. Venues used for the tournament include the Cotton Bowl and Toyota Stadium. The Cup has tournaments for age groups ranging from U-13 to U-19. Tigres UANL is the champion of the U19 Supergroup. The first ever Dallas Cup saw an English club side from South London, St. Thomas More, win the U14 cup, an amazing display in goal from Sean Woods saw him lofted onto the shoulders of his team-mates in celebration.

The 2008 Dallas Cup was the 29th since its establishment, 12 teams entering in the tournament. The competition was sponsored by Dr Pepper. Liverpool beat UANL Tigres 3–0 in the Championship and won the 2008 Dallas Cup.

2017 Africa Cup of Nations International football competition

The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, known as the Total2017 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was scheduled to be hosted by Libya, until CAF rescinded its hosting rights in August 2014 due to ongoing war in the country. The tournament was instead hosted by Gabon. This event was also part of the Africa Cup of Nations 60th Anniversary.

The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the nineteenth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It ran from 21 June to 13 July 2013. At the FIFA Executive Meeting in Zürich on 3 March 2011, Turkey beat other bids to host the series games, from host competition by the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. In its bid, Turkey suggested the use of thirteen stadiums in ten of its cities, before deciding in February 2012, that seven cities would play host to games.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, known as the Total2019 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was hosted by Egypt. The competition was held from 21 June to 19 July 2019, as per the decision of the CAF Executive Committee on 20 July 2017 to move the Africa Cup of Nations from January/February to June/July for the first time. It was also the first Africa Cup of Nations expanded from 16 to 24 teams.

Competitions were held at every age from U13s to U19s. The U14 and U19 levels also had additional competitions, known as the U14s UDN and the Gordon Jago Supergroup respectively.
