The 2013 New Orleans Privateers baseball team represented University of New Orleans in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. Because of renovations to Maestri Field, the Privateers played their home games at Wesley Barrow Stadium.
The team was led by fourth year head coach, Bruce Peddie who came off of a 17-27 record for the 2012 season. For the 2013 season, the Privateers competed as a Division I Independent after a 1-year stint as a Division II Independent. [1] [2] [3]

The University of New Orleans (UNO) is a public research university in New Orleans, Louisiana. First opened in 1958 as Louisiana State University in New Orleans, it is the largest public university and one of two doctoral research universities in the Greater New Orleans region. UNO is a member of the University of Louisiana System and is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity". The university consists of 8 schools and colleges offering 40 bachelor's, 45 master's and 17 doctoral degrees. He then served as the head coach of the Missouri Tigers (1995–2016). The second winningest coach in school history, Jamieson coached in 3 conferences, and took his teams to 9 NCAA Regionals, winning two conference championships in the process.
Mark Edward Slessinger is an American college basketball coach who is currently the associate head coach at Indiana State University. Previously, he was the men's basketball head coach at the University of New Orleans. Under Slessinger, New Orleans won over 160 games, with two Southland Conference titles and an NCAA Tournament appearance in the 2016-17 season.

The Privateers were led by third year head coach Mark Slessinger and played their home games at Lakefront Arena. They were new members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 11–15, 8–10 in Southland play to finish in ninth place. Due to APR penalties, they were ineligible for postseason play, including the Southland Conference tournament.
Ron Maestri is an American former college baseball coach. He was the head coach of the New Orleans Privateers baseball program. He previously held the same position from 1972–1984 and 2014–2015, also served as the Privateers athletic director from 1979–2000. In the interim, he held a series of positions in college athletics administration and worked in the front office of the minor league New Orleans Zephyrs before coming out of retirement to briefly fill UNO's coaching vacancy as it transitioned back to Division I.

Bruce Peddie is an American college baseball coach and former player. He is an assistant baseball coach at the University of Saint Mary. Peddie played college baseball at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania from 1984 to 1987. He previously served as head baseball coach at the University of New Orleans from 2010 to 2013, and the head baseball coach for the University of Louisiana at Monroe, from 2014 to 2017. In 1994, Peddie managed the Harwich Mariners, a collegiate summer baseball team in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League.
