2013 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship First Qualifying Round will be the first round of qualifications for the Final Tournament of 2013 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, which will be held in Wales.

The UEFA Women's U-19 Championship 2013 Final Tournament was held in Wales between 19 and 31 August 2013. Players born after 1 January 1994 were eligible to participate in this competition.

Wales Country in northwest Europe, part of the United Kingdom

Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It is bordered by England to the east, the Irish Sea to the north and west, and the Bristol Channel to the south. It had a population in 2011 of 3,063,456 and has a total area of 20,779 km2 (8,023 sq mi). Wales has over 1,680 miles (2,700 km) of coastline and is largely mountainous with its higher peaks in the north and central areas, including Snowdon, its highest summit. The country lies within the north temperate zone and has a changeable, maritime climate.

The 40 teams were divided into 10 groups of four teams, with each group being contested as a mini-tournament, hosted by one of the group's teams. After all matches have been played, the 10 group winners and 10 group runners-up along with the best third-placed team will advance to the Second qualifying round.

Wales qualified as hosts while England, France and Germany received byes to the second round as the sides with the highest coefficients.

England womens national under-19 football team national association football team

The England women's national under-19 football team, also known as England women Under-19s or England women U19(s), is a youth association football team operated under the auspices of The Football Association. Its primary role is the development of players in preparation for the senior England women's national football team and is the second highest tier of development behind the under-21 level. As long as they are eligible, players can play for England at any level, making it possible to play for the U19s, U21s or senior side, and again for the U19s. It is also possible to play for one country at youth level and another at senior level.

France women's national under-19 football team represents France at UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship and FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. Their first achievement was winning the 2003 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship. They have then won four more UEFA Women's U-19 European Championships in 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019.

The Germany women's national under-19 football team represents the female under-19s of Germany in the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, and is controlled by the German Football Association.

The draw was made on 15 November 2011 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. [1] Matches was played from 20 to 25 October 2012.

Seeding

Seeding of the four drawing pots is based on the past three seasons of qualifying. The hosts of the ten one-venue mini-tournament groups are indicated below in italics.

Tiebreakers

Tie-breakers between teams with the same number of points are:

  1. Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question
  2. Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question
  3. Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question

If now two teams still are tied, reapply tie-breakers 1-3, if this does not break the tie, go on.

  1. Superior goal difference in all group matches
  2. Higher number of goals scored in all group matches
  3. Drawing of lots
