The 24th World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships were held in Levallois-Perret, France at the Palais des Sports Marcel-Cerdan. The women's groups qualifications were held on 10, 11 and 12 July 2014.

Acrobatic gymnastics is a competitive discipline of gymnastics where partnerships of gymnasts work together and perform figures consisting of acrobatic moves, dance and tumbling, set to music. There are three types of routines; a 'balance' routine where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility; a 'dynamic' routine which includes throws, somersaults and catches, and a 'combined' routine which includes elements from both balance and dynamic.

Spelbound are a gymnastic troupe from the United Kingdom who rose to fame in 2010, winning the fourth series of Britain's Got Talent. The prize was £100,000 and the opportunity to appear at the 2010 Royal Variety Performance. They also performed in the Britain's Got Talent Live tour. They have since performed at numerous venues and have been featured in advertisements.

The Asian Gymnastic Union (AGU) organizes Asian Gymnastics Championships for each of the FIG gymnastic disciplines: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics and trampoline gymnastics. This article lists only the senior editions of the Asian Gymnastics Championships, in which competitors must be over 16 years of age. Georgia Lancaster is a British people female acrobatic gymnast. With partners Elise Matthews and Millie Spalding. Lancaster trained as an acrobatic gymnast for over 13 years, competing both nationally and internationally. She started off training at Spelthorne Gymnastics Club and later moved to Heathrow Gymnastics Club. Lancaster was British Champion three times, over the years of 2010, 2011 and 2013 - twice as a Women's Pair and once in a Women's Group, alongside Matthews and Spalding. The trio achieved gold in the 2014 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships held in Levallois, Paris - becoming the first Great Britain trio to win the Senior World Championships in history.

Gymnastics competitions at the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus, were held from 22 to 30 June 2019 at the Minsk-Arena. A total of 32 gymnastics events were held in the five disciplines; artistic, rhythmic, trampolining, aerobic and acrobatic.
