The 2014 Dhaka Senior Division League started on 12 September 2014 where 7 clubs competed with each other. This was the leagues 57th functioning season since official recognition and fourth as Bangladesh's third-tier.

Bangladesh Police Football Club is an association football team based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club was founded by Bangladesh Police. The services team had previously played in the Senior Division Football League in 1998 – then the second tier of football. In recent times, Police FC became champions of the Second Division Football League in 2014 to get promotions to the First Division before making their debut in the Bangladesh Championship League in 2015. Police FC gained the promotion to Bangladesh Premier League for the very first time in the club's history by becoming champion of the 2018-19 Bangladesh Championship League.
Saif Sporting Club was an association football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 2016, the club competed in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football, from 2017 to 2022. On 3 August 2022, the club owners announced that the club will no longer be active in professional football due to insufficient commercial returns from it, days after the end of 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League. They also finished third in the league, which is the best top tier league result of the club's history. The club played their homes games at Munshiganj Stadium in their final season.

The club is owned and managed by Bashundhara Group.

The 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League is the 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League since its establishment in 2007. A total of 13 football clubs will compete in the league. Dhaka Abahani are the defending champions. Bashundhara Kings and NoFeL Sporting Club entered as the promoted teams from the 2017 Bangladesh Championship League. The league was delayed and was rescheduled to start from 18 January 2019. Six venues will host 2019 Bangladesh Premier League. 2 clubs will be relegated to Bangladesh Championship League.
The 2019–20 Federation Cup, also known as TVS Federation Cup 2019, was 31st edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation. The 13 participants will compete for the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing preliminary round of 2021 AFC Cup.
Dhaka Wanderers Club is a football team from Dhaka, Bangladesh. They are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Bangladesh. The Wanderers dominated the domestic scene during the 1950s and 60s, and were considered to be the one of the biggest clubs in the subcontinent before Bangladesh gained independence. Wanderers have seven domestic league titles and were also the runners-up of the Federation Cup in 1987, losing to Mohammedan SC in the finals. Their rivalry with Mohammedan is seen as the first domestic club rivalry in Bangladeshi football history.
The 2021–22 Bangladesh Championship League was the 10th season of the Bangladesh Championship League since its establishment in 2012. A total of 12 football clubs are competing in the league. The Brothers Union withdrew from the league due to the internal mismanagement and financial issue of the club. The league kicked off from 20 February and concluded on 13 June 2022.
Pioneer Football League, also known as the Bangladesh Pioneer Football League, is an age-level league and also the sixth-tier of Bangladeshi football organised by Bangladesh Football Federation. The semi-finalsits of the competition are promoted to the Dhaka Third Division Football League. As the tournament is considered to be the lowest level of Bangladeshi football, so the number of participants is unlimited as well as any club is able to send an application to participate in the tournament.
