The 2014 Hayne/Mannah Cup was a rugby league test match played between Fiji and Lebanon.
A test match in rugby league football is a representative match between teams representing members of the Rugby League International Federation.
The Fiji national rugby league team, nicknamed the Bati, has been participating in international rugby league football since 1992. The team is controlled by the governing body for rugby league in Fiji, Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL), which is currently a member of the Asia-Pacific Rugby League Confederation (APRLC). Fiji have thrice reached the semi-finals of the Rugby League World Cup, in 2008, 2013 and 2017, and are currently ranked 5th in the Rugby League International Federation's World Rankings.
The Lebanon national rugby league team is the representative side of Lebanon in rugby league football. It is the top tier team of the Lebanese Rugby League Federation. They are nicknamed "The Cedars" after the Lebanon Cedar tree, which is also on the Lebanese flag. The team has been participating in international competition since 1998. The team was originally formed in New South Wales, Australia, composed of Lebanese Australians. But their success has helped the game grow in Lebanon and now players are also taken from the newly formed Lebanon Championship as well as the National Rugby League in Australia.
The fixture was in honour of Parramatta Eels players, Jarryd Hayne and Tim Mannah, who both have Fijian and Lebanese heritage respectively. Fiji won the test match by 40-28 after leading 22-12 at half-time. [1] Fiji's James Storer won the man of the match award, scoring one try in the match.
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium. As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the majority tenants at Bankwest Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium.
Jarryd Lee Hayne is a former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League. He has also played American football and rugby union sevens at the highest levels. An Australia and Fiji international and New South Wales State of Origin representative fullback or centre, he previously played for the Gold Coast Titans and the NRL All Stars team. He won the Dally M Medal in 2009 and 2014 as the NRL's player of the year, and the Rugby League International Federation's International Player of the Year award in 2009. Hayne attracted significant attention when he made the switch from one of the NRL's top players to a rookie in the 2015 NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers. At the end of the season, Hayne ended his NFL career. Before returning to the NRL, Hayne also represented Fiji in rugby union sevens.
Tim Mannah is a Lebanon international rugby league footballer who plays as a prop for the Eels in the NRL.

The Australia national rugby union team, nicknamed the Wallabies, is controlled by Rugby Australia. The team first played at Sydney in 1899, winning their first test match against the touring British Isles team.
The Ireland men's national rugby league team, known as the Wolfhounds, is organised by Rugby League Ireland. Wes Naiqama is a Fijian Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the London Broncos in the English Championship. He won 14 caps for the Fiji national rugby league team. He primarily played as a centre, fullback and winger, but can also fill in at second-row. He is the older brother of Wests Tigers player and fellow Fiji international, Kevin Naiqama.
Mosese Nasau Rauluni is a retired Fijian rugby union footballer. He usually plays at scrum half, and played for Saracens in the Guinness Premiership in England. He has played for Fiji, including captaining them. He is the younger brother of Jacob Rauluni and first cousin of Waisale Serevi.
Alipate Tani Noilea is a Fijian rugby league and rugby union footballer. He is a rugby league international and represented Fiji at the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.
Rick Stone is a professional rugby league football coach and former player who was the head coach of the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League. He has coached the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League and the Fiji national team.

The Pacific Rugby League International is a rugby league test match that has been played between two Pacific Island nations during the National Rugby League's annual representative weekend since 2013. The fixture was held at Penrith Stadium for the 2013 and 2014 test matches. In 2015, two fixtures were held; Samoa and Tonga competed for the Polynesian Cup while Fiji and Papua New Guinea competed for the Melanesian Cup at Cbus Super Stadium. In 2016 the fixtures returned to New South Wales and were held at Parramatta's Pirtek Stadium.
