The Central Connecticut Blue Devils are the defending regular season champions, while the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers are the defending tournament champions.

Saint Francis (PA) won the Regular Season Championship by going 6-1-0 in conference play and will host the NEC Tournament in Loretto, Pennsylvania. St. Francis Brooklyn won the 2014 NEC Tournament Championship with the 3rd seed by beating Bryant (2–0) then Saint Francis (PA) (2–1).

The team was coached by Glenn Braica, who was in his fourth year at the helm of the St. Francis Terriers. The Terrier's home games were played at the Generoso Pope Athletic Complex. The team has been a member of the Northeast Conference since 1981. The Terriers were selected to participate in the 2013 Maui Invitational Tournament where they won the Consolation Game of the Regional Rounds.

The Northeast Conference Soccer Tournament is the conference soccer championship of the NCAA Division I Northeast Conference. The top four finishers in the regular season of the conference's eight teams advance to the single-elimination tournament. The tournament is held at the campus of the regular season champion. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The NEC started fielding men's soccer games in 1985 and started a conference tournament in 1989, Fairleigh Dickinson won the inaugural championship.

The team has been a member of the Northeast Conference since 1981. Conference play started in early January 2015 and concluded in March with the 2015 Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year is a basketball award given to head coaches in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The award is granted to the head coach voted to be the most successful that season by the league's coaches. The 2017–18 Wagner Seahawks men's basketball team represented Wagner College during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks were led by sixth-year head coach Bashir Mason. They played their home games at Spiro Sports Center on the school's Staten Island campus as members of the Northeast Conference. The Seahwawks finished the season 23–10, 14–4 in NEC play to win the NEC regular season championship. In the NEC Tournament, they defeated Central Connecticut and Robert Morris before losing to LIU Brooklyn in the championship game. As a regular season conference champion who did not win their conference tournament, they received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Baylor.

2018–19 Fairleigh Dickinson Knights mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2018–19 Fairleigh Dickinson Knights men's basketball team represented Fairleigh Dickinson University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by sixth-year head coach Greg Herenda. The Knights played their home games at the Rothman Center in Hackensack, New Jersey as members of the Northeast Conference.

2019–20 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2019–20 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers men's basketball team represented St. Francis College during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Glenn Braica, who was in his 10th season as the head men's basketball coach. The Terriers played their home games at the Generoso Pope Athletic Complex in Brooklyn Heights, New York as members of the Northeast Conference. They finished the season 13–18, 7–11 in NEC play to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the NEC Tournament to Robert Morris.

The 2019–20 Northeast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2019, followed by the start of the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in January and ended in February 2020.

The 2019 Northeast Conference men's soccer season was the 39th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference.
