The 2014–15 season of the 2. Bundesliga (women) was the eleventh season of Germany's second-tier women's football league. The season began on 31 August 2014.

Changes

VfL Bochum played in the north group, not in the south group like in previous season. [1] VfL Bochum was automatically relegated back to the Regionalliga after the end of the season due to financial problems, failed to apply a license for next season, this means there will be no relegation playoff this season. [2]

Lübars won the league, but did not apply for a licence to the first Bundesliga because of financial reasons. [3] Bremen therefore got promoted.

The 2. Bundesliga is the second division of professional football in Germany. It was implemented 11 years after the founding of the Fußball-Bundesliga as the new second division for professional football. The 2. Bundesliga is ranked below the Bundesliga and above the 3. The 2. Frauen-Bundesliga is the second league competition for women's association football in Germany. For its first 14 seasons the league was divided into two groups: Nord and Süd. The winner and the runner-up are promoted to the Bundesliga ; the last three places are relegated to the Regionalliga. Until the 2017–18 season, in each group, the winner was promoted and the bottom two were relegated.

The Frauen-Regionalliga is the third-tier of German women's association football. The Frauen-Regionalliga is made up of five separate leagues. Until 2017, the champion of each league was promoted to the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga for the next season, so were the winners of two promotion groups in 2018. Since 2021, the Regionalliga Süd champion and two winners of promotion play-offs qualify for next season's 2. Bundesliga.
