The 2015 J&T Banka Prague Open was a professional women's tennis tournaments played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 6th edition of the tournament which was an International tournament on the 2015 WTA Tour. It took place at the TK Sparta Prague in Prague, Czech Republic, from 27 April to 2 May 2015. This was the event's first edition as a WTA International tournament. First-seeded Karolína Plíšková won the singles title.

Belinda Bencic won the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 Canadian Open after Simona Halep retired in the final, with scoreline at 7–6(7–5), 6–7(4–7), 3–0. Bencic defeated six major finalists in succession en route to her first WTA Tour title. At 18 years and 23 weeks of age, Bencic became the youngest woman to win the tournament, surpassing Ana Ivanovic's record from 2006.

Venus Williams won the singles tennis title at the 2015 Wuhan Open after Garbiñe Muguruza retired in the final, with the scoreline at 6–3, 3–0. Williams saved a match point en route to the title, in the semifinals against Roberta Vinci.
Garbiñe Muguruza defeated Timea Bacsinszky in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 China Open. It was her first WTA Premier Mandatory level-tournament and second WTA Tour title overall, and she became the first Spanish player to win a Premier Mandatory tournament.
Carla Suárez Navarro defeated Jeļena Ostapenko in the final, 1–6, 6–4, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2016 WTA Qatar Open.
