Bob Marley and the Wailers were a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae band. The founding members, in 1963, were Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer.
Edward O'Sullivan Lee OD, better known as Bunny "Striker" Lee, was a Jamaican record producer. He was known as a pioneer of the United Kingdom reggae market, licensing his productions to Trojan Records in the early 1970s, and later working with Lee "Scratch" Perry and King Tubby.

Cynthia Jean Cameron Breakspeare is a Canadian-Jamaican jazz singer, musician and beauty queen. Breakspeare was crowned Miss World 1976. Breakspeare is the mother of reggae musician Damian Marley, through her relationship with Bob Marley, who remained married to Rita Marley until his death. Marley is said to have written the song "Turn Your Lights Down Low" about her.

Lloyd Reckord was a Jamaican actor, film maker, and stage director who lived in England for some years. Reckord appeared in 1958 in a West End production of Hot Summer Night, which as an ITV adaptation broadcast on 1 February 1959 contained the earliest known example of an interracial kiss on television. His brother was the dramatist Barry Reckord.
Daundre Barnaby was a Canadian track runner who specialised in the 400m. Born in Jamaica, he competed for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and ran for Canada at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, finishing 6th in his heat in the 400m. He also competed for Canada at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, reaching the semifinals.
Better Tomorrow is a studio album by a Jamaican reggae female singer, Etana, released on February 18, 2013, under VP Records. "Etana" will return in 2013 with a scorching new reggae set of 14 new songs about life, love and reggae. "Better Tomorrow" is fully rooted in the one drop reggae style that made Etana’s name. The album is produced by Shane Brown of Jukeboxx Productions and showcases the talents of some of Jamaica’s top studio musicians and legendary engineer Errol Brown.
Winston Hubert McIntosh, OM, professionally known as Peter Tosh, was a Jamaican reggae musician. Along with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer, he was one of the core members of the band the Wailers (1963–1976), after which he established himself as a successful solo artist and a promoter of Rastafari. He was murdered in 1987 during a home invasion.
