The 2016 African Junior Badminton Championships were the continental badminton championships to crown the best youth players and teams across Africa. The tournament was held at the Mohammed V Sports Complex inside the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco, from 23 to 28 August 2016. [1]
The 2016 African Junior Badminton Championships were held in two separate events. The mixed team event, officially All Africa U-19 Mixed Team Championships 2016, was a continental tournament to crown the best team in Africa. A total of 9 countries across Africa registered their players to compete at mixed team event. [2] [3] [4]
The individual event, officially All Africa U-19 Individual Championships 2016, was a continental tournament to crown the best players in Africa holding from 16 to 18 August. [5] [6]
This tournament was held at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca with four courts.

The Paris Saint-Germain Academy is the youth system of both Paris Saint-Germain's men's and women's teams. Managed by the Association Paris Saint-Germain, the academy was officially established in 1975, but has been developing young talents since the club's foundation in 1970. The academy now has centres in several countries around the world. Likewise, PSG began developing youth players for the women's section in 2012, with the academy officially opening in 2023. Campus PSG in Poissy is currently the training facility and home ground of both sections.

Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Competing in the mixed doubles, he was able to reach the top 10 of the BWF world rankings with his partner Delphine Delrue. Together with Delrue, he won the gold medal in the 2024 European Championships; silver in the 2022 European Championships, and 2023 European Games; and also bronze in the 2019 European Games.
Koceila Julien Mammeri is a badminton player who trained at the Oullins club in France. Born in France, he represents Algeria internationally. In the junior event, he was the third place at the Portugal International tournament in the boys' doubles event. He won gold medals at the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 African Championships for men's doubles with his partner Youcef Sabri Medel, and in 2018 and 2019 for mixed doubles with Linda Mazri, and also in 2021 and 2022 for mixed doubles with Tanina Mammeri. He claimed the mixed doubles gold medals at the 2019 African Games with Mazri and in 2023 with Tanina Mammeri.
The 2018 All Africa Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships is a continental stage tournament of Thomas and Uber Cups, and also to crown the best men's and women's badminton team in Africa. This tournament will be held in Algiers, Algeria between 12 and 15 February 2018.
