The 2016 FIBA 3x3 World Tour is the 5th season of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, the highest professional 3x3 basketball competition in the World. The tournament is organized by FIBA.

Contents

The World Tour Final was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates at the International Tennis Complex of the Zayed Sports City. Team Ljubljana of Slovenia were the champions, who defeated Team Hamamatsu of Japan in the final. [1]

Finals qualification

Seven Masters tournaments were held in seven cities in seven countries. The finals were held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The best team from each stop qualified as well as the best teams in the overall ranking. [2]

3x3 Ljubljana – Brezovica is a professional 3x3 basketball club based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The team plays in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. In 2013, the club was based in Brezovica, near Ljubljana.

The 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Saskatoon Masters was a 3x3 basketball tournament held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada at a temporary venue constructed at the intersections of 4th Avenue and 21st Street from July 15–16, 2017. It was the first stop on the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour. The top team, Ljubljana qualified for the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final.

The 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Masters was a 3x3 basketball tournament held in Utsunomiya, Japan at a temporary venue constructed at the Futaarayama Jinja shrine from July 29–30, 2017. It was the second stop on the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour. The top team, Novi Sad Al-Wahda qualified for the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final.

In the 2020 Summer Olympics, eight teams qualified for the Olympic 3x3 women's basketball tournament. The 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament held in September 2022. It was the fifth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier and served as the qualification tournament for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. The top two teams from the qualifier tournament would progress to the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa.

Since the inception of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league in 2019 which is backed by Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), multiple 3x3 team under the sponsorship of BAVI has been sent to the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit which usually consists of the core of the winning team in a conference or tournament.

The 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualification is a basketball competition that is being played from June 2022 to February 2025, to determine the FIBA Asia-Oceania nations who will qualify for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
