The 2016 Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup is the eleventh preseason high school and collegiate basketball tournament organized by Filoil Flying V Sports. The opening ceremonies was held on April 30, 2016 at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Contents

Former UAAP champions De La Salle Green Archers and former NCAA champions Arellano University Chiefs will head-to-head in the seniors division finals. [1] At the end, the Green Archers won the championship over the Chiefs, 86-74. [2]

This was their final television broadcast year with ABS-CBN Sports and Action after 10 years, as the television broadcast eventually returned to ESPN 5 beginning with the 2018 edition of the cup.

University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. Games then are subsequently being held at Filoil Flying V Arena, with seniors' games on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Monday games aired by Studio 23.

The 2012 Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup is the seventh preseason high school and collegiate basketball tournament organized by Filoil Flying V Sports. The opening ceremonies was held on April 14, 2012 with the first tripleheader of basketball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. All eight teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and ten from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA) participate in the tournament. Their junior counterparts also join the tournament, except for UE Junior Warriors.

As season host, Adamson was the producer of the opening ceremony on June 29, 2013. As to being tournament host, Adamson was responsible for the scheduling of games, booking of game venues and distribution of game tickets to member schools. The other responsibility of Adamson as tournament host was the nomination of a basketball tournament commissioner to the UAAP Board for approval.

The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 89 are the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for basketball in its 2013–14 season. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on June 22, 2013, at the Mall of Asia Arena followed by a double-header. Games then are subsequently being held at Filoil Flying V Arena, with seniors' games on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays aired on AksyonTV.

The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 91 were the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for the current season. The Mapua Institute of Technology hosted the season, started with an opening ceremony held on June 27, 2015, at the Mall of Asia Arena followed by a double-header. Games are expected to be followed at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, with two seniors and juniors games. The seniors' games are aired live by ABS-CBN Sports and Action and in High Definition on Balls HD 167.

The UAAP Season 78 basketball tournaments are held in school year 2015-16. University of the Philippines Diliman is the season host. The basketball tournaments started with a doubleheader basketball games after the opening ceremonies on September 5, 2015, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and ended on December 2, 2015, at the Mall of Asia Arena, while the junior's basketball has currently been held since November. ABS-CBN's UHF channel ABS-CBN Sports and Action broadcast the men's tournament for the sixteenth consecutive year.

The 2016 basketball tournaments of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), otherwise known as NCAA Season 92, officially opened on June 25, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. The showdown between season hosts San Beda Red Lions and season 91 men's basketball champions Letran Knights will be the first game, while JRU Heavy Bombers will face Mapua Cardinals in the second game.

The UAAP Season 79 basketball tournaments are held in school year 2016–17. University of Santo Tomas is the season host while Far Eastern University are the defending champions. ABS-CBN's UHF channel ABS-CBN Sports and Action broadcast the men's tournament for the seventeenth consecutive year.

The UAAP Season 80 basketball tournaments were the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournaments for the 2017–18 school year. The tournaments are divided into men's, women's and juniors' divisions, for male and female college players and male high school players, respectively. The host school for the seniors' division was Far Eastern University, while Ateneo de Manila University was the sub-host for the juniors' division. The De La Salle Green Archers, NU Lady Bulldogs, and FEU Baby Tamaraws are the defending champions for the men's, women's and juniors respectively.

The 2017 basketball tournaments of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, otherwise known as the NCAA Season 93, which started on July 8, 2017 at Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. Same as the last year's opener, the defending champions San Beda Red Lions will open their title defense bid as they will battle the season's hosts San Sebastian Stags at the first game, and at the second game the Arellano Chiefs will open their first season without Jio Jalalon as they take on the Mapúa Cardinals.

The 2018 Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup was the thirteenth preseason high school and collegiate basketball tournament organized by Filoil Flying V Sports. All 8 teams from the UAAP and 10 teams from the NCAA, together with the 23-man Gilas Pilipinas pool for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup to be hosted by the Philippines competed in the senior's tournament.

The NCAA Season 94 basketball tournaments are the 94th basketball season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA are the season hosts. Separate seniors' and juniors' tournaments are held for male college and high school students, respectively.
