The 2017 BYU Cougars men's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2017 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Cougars, led by second year head coach Shawn Olmstead, played their home games at Smith Fieldhouse. [3] The Cougars were members of the MPSF and were picked to win the MPSF in the preseason poll. [4] They reached the NCAA National Championship for the second year in a row before being swept by Ohio State. The Cougars finished the year ranked #2 in the nation. [5]

The Cougars, led by fourth year head coach Chris McGown, played their home games at Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll. The Cougars finished the season 14–8 in conference play, good for fifth in the conference. They were eliminated in the first round of the MPSF Playoffs and did not make the NCAA Tournament.

The 2015 BYU Cougars women's soccer team represented BYU during the 2015 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Cougars were coached for a 21st consecutive season by Jennifer Rockwood, who was co-coach in 1995 and became the solo head coach in 1996. Before 1995 BYU women's soccer competed as a club team and not as a member of the NCAA. The Cougars enter the 2015 season having won three consecutive West Coast Conference championships and having made the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons and in 16 of the 20 seasons that Rockwood has been the head coach. The Cougars also come in having been picked to win the 2015 WCC women's soccer crown. On the last day of the season BYU won their fourth consecutive WCC soccer title to automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament. BYU advanced to the second round of the College Cup where they were defeated by Stanford. BYU finished the season at 16–3–2.

The Cougars entered the 2016 season having won four consecutive West Coast Conference championships and having made the NCAA Tournament each of the last four seasons and in 17 of the 21 seasons that Rockwood has been the head coach. The Cougars came off of a season were they advanced to the second round of the College Cup before being defeated by Stanford to finish the season 16–3–2. The Cougars split the WCC regular season title with Pepperdine and advanced to the third round of the NCAA College Cup before falling to South Carolina 1–0.

Joining Rockwood as assistant coaches are Brent Anderson and Aleisha Rose with volunteer assistants Rachel Jorgensen and McKinzie Young. The Cougars came off of a season were they advanced to the third round of the College Cup before being defeated by South Carolina to finish the season 18–3–1. The Cougars were picked to finish second by the WCC media. After a slow start the Cougars finished the season with their first losing record since 2004 at 7–8–4 and failed to make the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since 2011. They finished the conference tied for fourth at 4–4–1.

On March 12 the NCAA, BYU, and the MPSF shutdown the remainder of the season due to COVID-19, leaving BYU to end the season ranked #1 and undefeated in conference play.

The Bruins, led by tenth year head coach John Speraw, played their home games at Pauley Pavilion when basketball did not conflict with the home game schedule and at John Wooden Center when basketball conflicted with the home game schedule. The Bruins were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish second in the MPSF preseason poll. UCLA hosted the MPSF tournament and also the 2022 NCAA Championship at Pauley Pavilion. The 2022 NCAA Championship began on May 1 with an opening round match.

The 2022 Stanford Cardinal men's volleyball team represented Stanford University in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Cardinal, led by sixteenth year head coach John Kosty, played their home games split between Burnham Pavilion & Ford Center and Maples Pavilion. After being told that the 2021 season would be the Cardinal's final season of men's volleyball play, the program was saved when the university reversed their decision near the end of last years athletic calendar. The Cardinal are members of the MPSF and were picked to finish sixth in the MPSF preseason poll. Stanford finished fifth and pulled off two upsets in the MPSF Volleyball Tournament before falling to Pepperdine in the Championship.

The 2022 Concordia Eagles men's volleyball team represented Concordia University Irvine in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Eagles, led by first year head coach Riley Salmon, played their home games at CU Arena. The Eagles were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish seventh in the MPSF preseason poll. The Eagles tied with BYU for the worst in the league, but due to BYU winning the tiebreaker Concordia finished seventh and fell to USC in the MPSF Tournament 1st Round.

The Cardinals were members of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and were picked to finish fourth in the MIVA in the preseason poll.

The 2023 UC Irvine Anteaters men's volleyball team represented the University of California, Irvine in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Anteaters, led by eleventh year head coach David Kniffin, played their home games at the Bren Events Center. The Anteaters competed as members of the Big West Conference and were picked to finish third in the Big West preseason poll.

The 2023 Lewis Flyers men's volleyball team represented Lewis University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Flyers, led by nineteenth year head coach Dan Friend, played their home games at Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers were members of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and were picked to finish fourth the MIVA in the preseason poll.

After finishing last season with a MPSF semifinal tournament loss, the Cougars were picked to finish tied for third with Grand Canyon in the MPSF Pre-Season Poll.
