The 2014 Citi Open women's singles was tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts in Washington, D.C. Magdaléna Rybáriková was the two-time defending champion, but lost to Ekaterina Makarova in the first round.
Samantha Stosur successfully defended her title, defeating Zarina Diyas in the final, 7–6(9–7), 6–3.

The 2017 L&T Mumbai Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 2nd edition of the tournament overall, but the first in Mumbai, as the event made its debut in Pune in 2012 but was discontinued thereafter. It is part of the 2017 WTA 125K series. It took place between 20 November to 26 November 2017.
Petra Kvitová defeated Kiki Bertens in the final, 7–6(8–6), 4–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 Madrid Open. It was Kvitová's third Madrid Open title, and she became the first player to win three women's singles titles at the Madrid Open.

Barbora Krejčíková defeated Iga Świątek in the final, 6–4, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was her first WTA 1000 title. In addition to world No. 1 Świątek, Krejčíková also defeated No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka and No. 3 Jessica Pegula, becoming the fifth woman to defeat the top three ranked players in a single tournament, and the third to do so outside of the WTA Finals. Krejčíková also saved four match points en route to the title, in the second round against Daria Kasatkina.
