The 2017 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the ninth Racecar Euro Series season, and the fifth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. Anthony Kumpen enters the season as the defending champion in the Elite 1 class. Stienes Longin entered the season as the defending Elite 2 champion, but he will not defend his title as he moved up to the Elite 1 class.
In the Elite 1 class, Alon Day won his first Elite 1 title, winning the championship by 53 points over Anthony Kumpen. In the Elite 2 class, Thomas Ferrando won his first Elite 2 title, finishing ahead of PK Carsport's Guillaume Dumarey by 91 points. Knauf Racing, represented by the No. 37 team, won their first (and only) team's championship title.
The season also included one non-championship event, the Trofeo Angelo Caffi, which was held at a temporary track that were laid down for the 2017 Bologna Motor Show and was won by Lorenzo Marcucci.

Marc Goossens, nicknamed The Goose, is a Belgian professional racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, priorly driving the No. 14 Chevrolet Camaro for SpeedHouse in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. He is now driving the No. 56 Chevrolet Camaro for CAAL Racing in the EuroNascar PRO class.
Alon Day is an Israeli professional stock car racing driver. He last competed in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet SS for PK Carsport and is a four-time champion in the series. Day is the first Israeli driver to compete in an IndyCar-sanctioned series, and is also the first Israeli to compete in one of NASCAR's top three touring series.

Loris Hezemans is a Dutch professional racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 27 Ford Mustang for Team Hezeberg and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving the No. 33 Toyota Supra for Reaume Brothers Racing and part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing.

CAAL Racing is an Italian racing team based in Todi, Province of Perugia that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The team has won the Elite 1 championship twice in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series as well as winning the team championship five times in the defunct Superstars Series. Alon Day and Ulysse Delsaux entered the season as the defending champion in the Elite 1 and Elite 2 category respectively, however Delsaux will not defend his title as he will move up to Elite 1 for the 2019 season.
The 2020 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the twelfth Racecar Euro Series season, and the eighth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. Loris Hezemans and Lasse Sørensen entered the season as the defending champion in the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 category respectively, although Sørensen will not defend his title as he moved up to the EuroNASCAR PRO class in 2020. Hendriks Motorsport will enter the season as the defending team's champion.
Gianmarco Ercoli is an Italian professional racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 54 Chevrolet Camaro for CAAL Racing in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. He is a former one-time champion in the Euro Series, having won the Elite 2 championship title in 2015.
Alain Mosqueron is a French racing driver who currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro for DF1 Racing in the EuroNASCAR Club Challenge class. He is a two-time champion in the Euro Series, having won the Club Challenge championship in 2019 & 2020.
The 2021 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the thirteenth Racecar Euro Series season, and the ninth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season began at Circuit Ricardo Tormo with the NASCAR GP Spain on 15 May and ended on 31 October with the NASCAR GP Italy at Autodromo Vallelunga.
The 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series was the fourteenth Racecar Euro Series season, and the tenth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season began on 14 May with the NASCAR GP Spain at Circuit Ricardo Tormo and ended on 30 October with the EuroNASCAR Finals at Automotodrom Grobnik.
Maxime Dumarey is a Belgian professional auto racing driver who has previously competed in the ARCA Re/Max Series and the NASCAR Camping World East and West Series from 2007 to 2008. He is a former champion in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, having won the Elite 2 championship title in 2014.
