United World Wrestling (UWW) is the international governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling; its duties include overseeing wrestling at the World Championships and Olympics. It presides over international competitions for various forms of wrestling, including Greco-Roman, Freestyle, Grappling, as well as others. The flagship event of UWW is the Wrestling World Championships. The UWW was formerly known as FILA before assuming its current name in September 2014.

The 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which is also counted as the 5th Asian Indoor Games, was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in 2017. It became the third city in the former Soviet countries to win the right of hosting an Olympic Council of Asia-sanctioned event, following Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan, which jointly-hosted the 2011 Asian Winter Games. The host city was chosen in Kuwait on 19 December 2010. On 6 July 2013 the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia was officially handed over to the mayor of the city of Ashgabat.
The 2016 Olympic Wrestling Pan American Qualification Tournament was the first regional qualifying tournament for the 2016 Olympics.
The 2016 Olympic Wrestling Asian Qualification Tournament was the second regional qualifying tournament for the 2016 Olympics. The competition was held from 18 to 20 March 2016 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The 2016 Olympic Wrestling African & Oceania Qualification Tournament was the third regional qualifying tournament for the 2016 Olympics.

The 2017 Asian Wrestling Championships was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi in India. The event took place from 10 to 14 May 2017.

In 2021, she became under-23 world champion in the 55 kg event at the U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. She also represented Romania at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
