The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. After a disappointing start of the season against nationally ranked teams, Syracuse had a very successful second half, finishing a competitive third place in the conference, five points from first place Mercyhurst University.

Awards and honors

Sophomore Forward Abby Moloughney was named the Individual Sportsman of the year in the CHA Conference, with no penalties in conference play. She was also named to the CHA All-Conference First Team [5] Senior Defender and Captain Lindsay Eastwood was also named to the first team, as well as the CHA Best Defenseman. Senior Savannah Rennie was named to the CHA All-Conference Second team on the strength of six multi-point games.

Defender Mae Batherson was named the CHA Rookie of the year. She joined Forward Madison Beishuizen on the Conference All-Rookie Team.

Following the CHA Tournament, Junior Forward Victoria Klimek was named to the All-Tournament team. [6] Klimek had a hat trick in the 4–0 victory against Lindenwood, and had an assist in the season ending loss to Robert Morris.

The 2009–10 Mercyhurst Lakers women's ice hockey team represented Mercyhurst College in the 2009–10 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Lakers were coached by Michael Sisti. Assisting Sisti are Paul Colontino and Louis Goulet. Mike Folga was the Head Equipment Manager. The Lakers will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Women's Frozen Four for the second consecutive season. Vicki Bendus, Bailey Bram and Jesse Scanzano were all Top-10 finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award. This marked only the third time in NCAA history that one school had three nominees in the Top 10. Bendus was honoured with the award.

They play in Erie, Pennsylvania at the Mercyhurst Ice Center, located on the Mercyhurst campus.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey</span> Womens ice hockey team of Syracuse University

Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey is a college ice hockey program that has represented Syracuse University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and Atlantic Hockey America (AHA). The Orange joined AHA at the conference's creation after the 2023–24 season, when College Hockey America (CHA), the Orange's home since the 2008–09 season, merged with the Atlantic Hockey Association. Syracuse plays its home games at Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion in Syracuse, New York.

The 2010–11 Syracuse Orange season was their third season. The Orange competed in the College Hockey America conference and were unable to win the NCAA Championship. The Orange were the host club for the 2011 CHA Tournament and appeared in the CHA championship game losing to Mercyhurst by a 5–4 score.

The 2010–11 College Hockey America women's ice hockey season marked the continuation of the annual tradition of competitive ice hockey among College Hockey America members.

The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two college ice hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America (CHA) for the 2012–13 season, after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Tigers' conference affiliation was transferred to Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) following the merger of CHA and the Atlantic Hockey Association in April 2024.

Shiann Darkangelo is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Ottawa of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She has played at the international level with Team USA and won gold at the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship with the team. At the NCAA Division I level, she accumulated 42 points with the Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey program during the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons and registered 60 points with the Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey program during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons. She was team captain of the Toronto Six roster that won the 2023 Isobel Cup championship.

It was the second consecutive year that the Orange took the championship into overtime. Senior Melissa Piacentini was named CHA Player of the Year, while Nicole Renault was the CHA Defenseman of the Year.

The 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season is the 19th season of competition in the National Collegiate division of NCAA women's ice hockey, the de facto equivalent of Division I in that sport. The season began in September 2019 and ended on March 10, 2020 following the conclusion of the ECAC Championship. The 2020 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey tournament at Agganis Arena in Boston which was supposed to be held March 20 and 22 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2019 College Hockey America Women's Ice Hockey Tournament was the 17th tournament in league history played between March 6 and March 8, 2019, at the LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo, New York. Syracuse won their first tournament and earned College Hockey America's automatic bid into the 2019 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament

The 2020–21 Penn State Nittany Lions women's Hockey Team represented Penn State University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The season was Jeff Kampersall's third as head coach, and the team has established itself as a competitive program under his tutelage. The Nittany Lions were challenged by the season ending injury to goaltender, Jenna Brenneman, during the first weekend of play. Brenneman had the eighth best Goals Asainst Average in the nation in 2018–19. In her absence, junior Chantal Burke emerged as one of the nation's best netminders, assisted by a strong corps of defenders, including freshman Mallory Uihlein, a promising player for Team USA.

The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2013-14 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. It was the second consecutive season that the Orange won 20 games. Most of their wins came in non-conference contests, thanks to a solid defensive game.

The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2012-13 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. It was the program's most successful season. The goaltending duo of Kallie Billadeau and Jenesica Drinkwater registered 8 shutouts between them.

Lindsay Eastwood is a retired Canadian ice hockey defender, having played for the Toronto Six in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) from 2020 to 2023. The Syracuse Orange all-time leader in goals scored among defenders, she scored the first goal in Six history. She was a member of the Six roster that won the 2023 Isobel Cup championship, representing the last championship team of the PHF.

The Robert Morris Colonials women represent Robert Morris University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2020-21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season, the 16th overall in program history. Qualifying for the 2021 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, the program ranked as the #8 seed.
