The girls' doubles tournament of the 2018 Badminton Asia Junior Championships was held from July 18 to 22. The defending champion of the last edition were Baek Ha-na and Lee Yu-rim from South Korea. The top seeds in this event this year are the returning silver medallists Liu Xuanxuan / Xia Yuting from China, Agatha Imanuela / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti of Indonesia seeded in the second place.

Ashmita Chaliha is an Indian badminton player. Born and brought up in Guwahati, she began playing badminton at the age of seven, and trained at the Assam Badminton Academy under Indonesian coach Edwin Iriawan and India’s Suranjan Bhobora, she was also coached by Pullela Gopichand for the asian games. Chaliha was part of the national junior team that competed at the 2017 World and Asian Junior Championships. She has been selected to be part of the Indian team for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. Chaliha won her first senior international title at the 2018 Dubai International Challenge in the women's singles event. She was the gold medalists at the 2019 South Asian Games in the women's singles and team events.

The 2019 Lingshui China Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at Agile Stadium in China from 12 to 17 March 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000.

The 2019 Badminton Asia Junior Championships was the 22nd edition of the Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. This tournament was held in Suzhou, China from 20 to 28 July 2019.

Daniel Marthin is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2015. He was a champion at the 2019 Asian and World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event. Marthin was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.

Ribka Sugiarto is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. Born in Tangerang, she was selected to join the Djarum club in 2013. Sugiarto was the gold medalist at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships partnered with Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma, and won her first senior international title in 2019 Indonesia Masters, a Super 100 tournament with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

Putri Kusuma Wardani is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Exist Jakarta club.

The 2023 Thailand Masters was a badminton tournament that took place at the Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, from 31 January to 5 February 2023 and had a total prize of US$210,000.

The 2023 Orléans Masters was a badminton tournament which took place in the Palais des Sports at Orléans, France, from 4 to 9 April 2023. The tournament had a total prize pool of $240,000. This was the first edition of the tournament since being upgraded from the Super 100 to the Super 300 level.
