The Digital Songs or Digital Song Sales chart ranks the best-selling digital songs in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published by Billboard magazine. Although it originally started tracking song sales the week of October 30, 2004, it officially debuted in the issue dated January 22, 2005, and merged all versions of a song sold from digital music distributors. Its data was incorporated in the Hot 100 three weeks later. Since October 2004, digital sales have been incorporated into many of Billboard's music singles charts. The decision was based on the dramatic increase of the digital market while commercial single sales in a physical format were becoming negligible.

The American Music Award for Favorite Artist – Contemporary Inspirational has been awarded since 2002. Years reflect the year in which the awards were presented, for works released in the previous year. The all-time winners in this category are Casting Crowns and Lauren Daigle with four wins each. Casting Crowns is the most nominated act with eight nominations.

Years reflect the year during which the awards were presented, for works released in the previous year. The all-time winner in this category is Marshmello, Calvin Harris with 3 wins. Harris is the most nominated artist with 6 nominations. In 2020, Lady Gaga became the first woman to be nominated and to win this category.

The American Music Award for Favorite Song – Rap/Hip Hop has been awarded since 2016. Three songs are nominated per year. Cardi B became the first artist to win the award twice. She has won three times.

The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards was held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on March 14, 2019, and was broadcast live on Fox. Ariana Grande and Ella Mai were the most awarded artists, each winning three iHeartRadio Music Awards on the night. Cardi B lead the list of nominees with 14 nominations. T-Pain, who won The Masked Singer, hosted the show.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were held on Wednesday October 14, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony was broadcast live from NBC. Hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the third year in a row, the ceremony was sponsored by TikTok and Xfinity. The ceremony was originally scheduled for April 29, 2020, but was later postponed first indefinitely and then to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominees were announced on September 22, 2020. Voting opened on TikTok on October 1 and closed on October 13. Presenters were announced October 13.
